Summary:
The cabin is located on 3 acres with two other cabins that are rentals and a home that we live in. There are three large docks with boat parking and power. It is about 25 steps down to the lake, we do not recommend staying here if you have mobility issues. There is a private fire pit just for this cabin as well as a shared fire pit at the beach. The cabin is almost 100 years old and rustic. We have made many updates such as the kitchen, bath, electric, etc.

Stayed Sep 29, 2025Our entire stay was everything we hoped for and more. The Hosts were very attentive and helpful always ready to help! Loved the pontoon boat that we rented from them. The view from the cabin was spectacular! The cabin was wonderful. We hope to get back to Lake Vermilion!

Stayed Aug 2, 2025Really nice place. Just adjacent to the lake. Set up as a cabin with sufficient bedrooms, cooking area, and common area. Hosts were very responsive and asked if we need anything. Could not ask for anything more. A very accurate and fulfilling destination. Denise and Roy were very available. The pontoon was all anyone needed to explore the lake. We had a really great time. The nearness of the Tavern on the Bay restaurant made any evening you didn’t wanna cook easily solved. A great and easy entry into the northern lakes experience.

Stayed Jun 29, 2025Property was right on the lake with easy access to the beach/docks and very close to a lakeside restaurant and bar. Roy and Denise were always on site, available if needed and nice to talk to. The pontoon rental was a great option. Overall excellent stay.

The cabin and weather were perfect for our little get away. Always hard to leave the area to come back to reality but we will be back. Thanks again Roy, Denise and Otto.
