We had a great weekend stay at Laurel Lodge. Cabin is in a quiet, remote area that is still close to Franklin and Highlands, where we snow tubed. We had plenty of space for 4 adults and 6 kids, with basically 2 masters on the main and a basement plus mini cabin on the property. Lots of updates in the cabin - HUGE shower in the primary bedroom, dining table for 8 , comfy mattresses, plenty of towels, nice hot tub and lots of fun games in the basement for the kids. Our very favorite feature of the cabin was the two swinging beds on the porch with the most gorgeous view.. we were there every free moment we had. Home was also one of the best stocked rentals we ve stayed in and we’ve stayed in many. The local contact Loretta was very helpful when I had a couple different questions! It was a bit hard to find using our phones gps’ but the check in instructions included written directions that helped. We would love to return for a longer stay next time!

Kids and hubby enjoyed the game room. I loved the porch swings and view. Couch is much more comfortable than it appears in the pictures. Comfy beds. Master bath was fabulous. I don’t think I’ve ever stayed in a cabin with such a stocked kitchen. Kitchen is fully stocked so it was easy to cook and enjoy meals. We enjoyed all the extra touches made to this cabin to really make you feel at home. Location notes: Gorgeous views. Grocery store is about 15 minutes away, everything else is at least 30 minutes. Waze directions do not work, but directions from the host are clear and easy. Wish we would’ve realized how close it was to Black Rock State Park (GA) before our last day. Our only complaint about the cabin is you have to take your trash to an off site location; that was annoying. Also, we couldn’t get in the bonus building. We didn’t necessarily need it but since it’s part of the rental we wanted to check it out for possible future visits. Not sure why it’s listed, but then locked down. Overall- this place is awesome if you want a secluded, quiet vacation.

Absolutely beautiful cabin-very well supplie, clean and comfortable! The views are amazing! We used the hot tub every day and it was perfect. Plenty of space for 8 of us. The tv in the main family room gets lots of cable channels. It doesn’t stream well (like Netflix) so we brought our own Roku and it did fine. We also had a little snafu with the guest house which was remediated IMMEDIATELY. Loretta, the property manager, was very easy to communicate with and was very friendly and accommodating. LOVED The Slanted Window Tasting Station (wine). We would definitely stay here again!

Super clean house, well stocked kitchen, had everything we need. The property manager was super fast to respond and fix an issue with the fireplace remote - within hours it was fixed and we enjoyed it during our entire stay. So cozy! With the game room, extra fridge downstairs, large porch swings, and large fire pit, we enjoyed every amenity. 100% will book again for next year!

My family and I had a great experience. The property was beautifully maintained and very clean. It had a cozy yet spacious feel. The location was perfect being that it was very private and just a short drive away from town with plenty of things to do in the area. The views from the property were breathtaking.. We especially enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub after a long day of white water rafting. This property had everything we needed. Highly recommend!!

Our stay was amazing and the house was better equipped than any other we have stayed in previously. The back porch with the swings was the ideal spot to relax on each afternoon / evening!!! Although the driveway was paved, it should be noted that it was narrow and steep. We drove a truck with a trailer for our motorcycle and it was a little difficult to manage the drive up. Knowing what we were driving, I should have asked more questions so we were more prepared. As a result I just thought I would share. This is certainly not a complaint...just more of an FYI for those who are looking to book. Everything about the property was great and we would recommend it.

The home is beautiful, however it was not clean when we arrived so I would recommend you call the contact to confirm your check in as they thought we were arriving on a different date but when they checked the records, they realized they had made a mistake. It wouldn't have been so awful had we not just driven 12 hours in a car with kids.

We had the pleasure of spending time with out Kids and grands at this beautiful mountain home. We were high enough to see the sunrise on the mountains and the fog in the valley each morning from the large deck with oversized swings and rockers. The home owner responded promptly with any issues we had. Unfortunately we were not able to get the dryer so work, but the home owner tried her best to get someone out on a holiday weekend. Not an easy task.

This unanticipated gem is a beautiful home for family and friends. After sitting on the covered porch drinking our coffee, taking in the spectacular mountain views, we loved coming into a warm fireplace and the cozy throws. We enjoyed our competitive games of foosball and shuffleboard followed by a meal from the stylish kitchen. Don’t miss the opportunity to enjoy this experience.
