Beautiful Cottage in the Heart of Georgian Bay ( Thornbury Blue Mtn, Meaford )

Everything was clean and very well supplied. The host left a lovely pie for us (our anniversary). The property is beauty. Very enjoyable stay.

We enjoyed the convenience and location of this property. It felt removed and private yet easy to get to town and nearby areas of interest. Cleanliness, and comforts of home are high priority for us and this Meaford home provided both! While in the area, we took a kayak trip down the Beaver River, drove to Tobermory to see flower pot Island, went on a fishing charter and caught Lake Trout for dinner, biked, hiked, fished the Big Head River, visited Blue Mountain and scenic caves, travelled to Sauble Beach, and got in a few games of beach volleyball at the house! It was fun to explore local fruit and farm stands, enjoy a delicious meal at Ted's, dine at the Leaky Canoe and make and prepare a few meals in the adequately stocked kitchen.

Beautiful, impeccably kept and had everything we needed, except a turkey baster - lol but Lianne bought us a foil roaster that worked great. Only suggestion is a second hand held spot for at least one of the showers so you can shower without getting your hair wet. The hostess gifts were much appreciated. Going to suggest place to others.

A very hospitable host and a lovely home in a beautiful, peaceful area.

We loved staying here. The place is newly renovated with beautiful furniture and appliances and every thought for what you might want is included. Lianne is a great host and was very good with communication. The only drawbacks were that it is right off the highway and nothing is walkable at all, including the nearby Georgian Trail and that the location has many rules. We felt a little on eggshells throughout our stay.

We were immediately impressed with the cleanliness and beauty of the cottage. The owner, Lianne, made us feel welcome by adding a few extra special touches by leaving a fresh pie, a bottle of Rose, coffee and cream in the fridge. Our sheets were also spritzed with essential oils to promote a restful, peaceful sleep. We had everything we needed throughout our stay. Meaford is a charming, small town with a few good restaurants, a small beach and other attractions such as a trail for biking and hiking, etc... The cottage is close enough to Thornburry, Collingwood and Blue Mountain which provided us with alternative areas to visit. Blue Mountain Resort had a lot of interesting attractions. More than we could do in one day. The Blue Mountain area had scenic caves and a suspension bridge that we visited. Communication with Lianne was very good as well. She was very responsive to texts. We would absolutely consider renting this cottage again in the future. Thank you Lianne for all that you did to ensure we had a great time on vacation.

Helpful, quick response, a delight to deal with owner. Spacious clean unit, comfortable, great bbq (and so appreciate the back up tank) If back to area wouldn’t hesitate to rent again
