Beautiful, Comfortable Home with Exceptional In-Town Location

Perfect location in Bar Harbor. We could walk everywhere. Very well maintained home. Had everything we needed.

Paul was an excellent host. He contacted us weeks before our trip with suggestions on what to do in Bar Harbor and touched base with us once we got there to make sure we had everything we needed. The house itself is in a great location. We walked everywhere. We only had to use our car to go into the park. The house had everything we needed, even the tools and instructions to boil a lobster! We would definitely stay there again.

We loved our stay! The house was perfectly clean, the kitchen had everything that we needed (we cooked a few dinners in), and really great communication with the host, from making the reservation onward. Nice to be on a quiet street but so close to the waterfront, shops, and restaurants AND with parking!

Perfectly located near town, within walking distance to everything in Bar Harbor. Off street parking means you never have to worry about a spot. Very comfortable home, with everything you need to relax, whether you want to dine in town or cook in.

We absolutely loved this property. The owners clearly thought about the little details that help make a travelers stay even more enjoyable - books, games and puzzles, two golf size umbrellas (which we did use one night), comfy mattresses, good lighting for reading or knitting, several kinds of coffee makers, lots of information on the area. They also ensured all the things we expect as renters - a super clean space, instructions for appliances or things we may not use at home, check out requirements, excellent communication. I know I have rambled, but there is nothing not to like here. If you can get a reservation, do it. The house is charming, historic and perfectly located. The hosts are wonderfully caring.

A wonderful house, exceptionally clean and organized. The house location is perfect distance to Bar Harbor marina, food and drinks, shopping etc… Driveway parks 2 vehicles and with it being only a 5 minute drive to Acadia was a huge plus. Highly recommend, the location made our stay our #1 trip !! 5- all the way!!

We just returned home from a wonderful week staying at Moose Manor. The house is welcoming and immaculately maintained. The host provides everything you could possibly want or need, including private off street parking. The location is a perfect 5-min walk anywhere in Bar Harbor including shopping, restaurants, whale watching tours, and the Island Explorer buses…plus more! And yet, it is located on a quiet street without through traffic! The host provided plenty of communication before and during our trip by giving us suggestions of things to do. On the day of our arrival, he called to welcome us and made sure we had everything we needed. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay at Moose Manor during a future trip to Bar Harbor. Hint: Be sure to read the interesting history of the home hanging in the dining room.

Moose Manor was the perfect home base for our family to explore Acadia National Park. The home was immaculate, comfortable and had everything we needed. We loved being able to walk into town and to the waterfront with ease without worrying about parking. We are already dreaming about our return trip!

Wonderful house and wonderful host leaving you wanting nothing. Also, location, location, location! Mere steps to seemingly everything!

Ours was a family of five adults for one week vacation. I was a little nervous that all of us could survive on one full bathroom (with toilet in basement), but it couldn’t have worked out better. Everyone had different schedules for bathing with some at night, some in the morning and some during the day after an activity. The property itself was perfect in that the kitchen was well stocked, had an eating area, and ample area for all of us to hang after being out and about. We used the fans at night and slept well in all of the rooms. The front porch gave us another area to split up. It was so nice to have full size laundry in the basement too. The home is one block off the main road, Cottage St but was tucked away and quiet. The town is quiet at night. I’m so glad we stayed in town versus some remote location. It was great having the dedicated parking space and the location of the home was fantastic. Short walk to grocery and very close to the green and all of the town shops and restaurants as well as the pier. We probably didn’t need to rent a car given that the Island Explorer has stops at all of the main places and you can easily walk the town and should due to limited in town parking. Homeowner Paul was the perfect host providing information on the home and activities going on both in advance of our trip and while there. We’ve never had that kind of interaction from a host. We will gladly stay here again!

Perfect location to walk to everything in Bar Harbor

We had a family of 5 stay the week of July 4th. The house is very close to downtown. The best part is the parking, which we did not appreciate prior to booking. The area was very crowded and parking was hard to come by. Luckily we had our own private driveway next to the house. Besides that, everything was clean and comfortable. Paul was also very responsive to any questions we had and also provided some great activity and restaurant recommendations.

The house was so comfortable and relaxing! We spent our evenings on the porch. We brought a small tv with Roku to watch baseball games and played Yahtzee with the kids. The beds were comfortable and the house was clean! The host Paul was so helpful giving ideas of what to do and where to eat in the area. The home’s location is central to everything and there is a driveway to park so we walked the majority of the time. I highly recommend this home and will recommend it to friends!

Great house, we enjoyed our stay!

The house was spotless and very well equipped to meet any need. The only time we used our car was for trips to Acadia and the Schoodic Peninsula, Everything else was a 2-5 minute walk. Paul was a great host, always prompt to respond and helpful. I highly recommend Moose Manor!

Moose Manor in Bar Harbor was exactly as advertised -- well maintained, within walking distance to everything in Bar Harbor and a very comfortable place to stay. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was updated and well stocked, and house felt cozy to stay in for a week. Paul, the owner, goes above and beyond to provide information about the area and tips that come in handy during your stay. It's obvious he cares about his home and the people who stay in it, and to me that makes all the difference. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again!
