The Lighthouse Cottage in Concarneau dates back to 1858. Quality renovation, solid parquet flooring, stone, cement tiles, oak kitchen, offering all the comforts of a modern home. Private garden of 400 m between the terrace and the sea.
The lighthouse house has only one goal: to become your own family home for a few days or a longer vacation. The privileged location of this house, with a plunging view of the sea, offers a permanent spectacle, always different according to the hours, the tides, the luminosity, the boats entering and leaving the port.
South-west facing, the sunsets face the terrace and the master bedroom.10' walk to the walled town (built by Vauban with its narrow cobbled streets, restaurants and shops) via the ferry that crosses the channel. 200m away is a sandy beach wedged between rocks, with a footpath nearby.
On the ground floor, the fully-equipped kitchen opens onto the dining room with a table seating 8, the living room with Chesterfield sofa and armchair, bookcase, wood-burning stove, LED TV, satellite channels (French, German and English), DVD player and a large window. Bathroom with walk-in shower, 2 washbasins; separate WC.
Second floor: 1 sea-view bedroom with 180x200 bed,
1 bedroom with either 1 bed 180x190 or 2 beds 90x190; 1 walk-in shower, 1 vanity unit. 1 separate WC. 3 rd bedroom, bed 160x190, located outside the house in the former lighthouse powder magazine.
Free WI-FI.
Outside, double terrace, one with dining table and barbecue, the second with garden furniture and sun loungers.
A canoe with all equipment is available free of charge, allowing you to explore the coastline from the sea.
Nearby: Pont Aven, the city of painters; Quimper and its cathedral; the Glénan islands; the Pointe du Raz, boat trips on the Odet and Glénan rivers; Locronan, a beautiful village full of character; further afield, Brest's Océanopolis.

our 2nd stay. terrace/garden/view are first class. house is ok but increasingly needs update. third bedroom in small lighthouse cannot seriously be used due to the smell of an ancient building. communication with owner/administration very professional and friendly.

We enjoyed our stay at this lovely house. It felt very welcoming, clean, comfortable and a real home from home. We loved the location and enjoyed walks along the coastal path at the bottom of the garden. We used the navette boat (just five minutes away) to go the Ville Close most days, visiting the markets and the cafes as well as the shops. Our daughters enjoyed using the canoe at the little beach nearby. We would recommend this property and like to return one day.

The house is very pleasant and well equipped. The location is excellent especially with the little ferry to Concarneau a short walk away - we used this most days for daily shopping/lunch/dinner. We would certainly rent again!
