Stayed Dec 31, 1969Our experience was amazing. We had such a good time and had PLENTY of blankets, towels, and pillows. It has so much room and the views are amazing. The only complaint we have is the parking is kind of awkward!

Stayed Jan 24, 2020This property was great, our group had an awesome time. The family room was a great size for board games without being crowded. The cabin was very clean and well maintained. The property manager was very nice, helpful. The rooms were large and our 5 adults and 6 kids slept comfortably. Kitchen was nice and the provided utensils/cookware covered everything we needed. We loved the views and all the trees surrounding the property. Lots of good things to say about this property, we feel we got a great value for our stay.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969The home is well stocked with pots and pans. We ran a little short on towels, as we could not find enough for each person in our party to have one. If you have a lot of people and are staying for the week like we did, you will need to bring extra toilet paper and paper towels. The couches all need to be replaced, the pool table is in need of new felt. We ended up driving to the closest Walmart and bought a pool stick just to be able to play as they were all broken. We were able to shoot pool and play ping pong while we were there after we purchased our own pool stick. Hot tub was clean and useable and the hot tub guy stopped in 1 day while we were there to check on it and refresh chemicals. Water pressure in lower level bathrooms left something to be desired and we noted water stains in lower level as well. To be honest, the worse part of this cabin is the access to get to the cabin through the snow. You are not able to park in the driveway unless you have 4x4. To get down to the door from the driveway was horrible. We had to treck through knee high snow up and down the hill. There was a place that may have been a path, but every person that stepped on it fell down. We had to lower my elderly father down the hill on a sled to get to the door which we tied a rope on because he could not just slide down. Fortunately I have innovative brothers that went out the next day and carved steps into the snow/ice so we had an easier time getting up and down the hill to our vehicles. Wood is not provided, which I expected, however there is a boiler that keeps the cabin very warm. You can purchase wood in town if you want. If you are coming in the winter, make sure you have a 4x4 vehicle or bring chains. We slid down the hill when we arrived and got stuck. Most neighbors flew past us while giving us dirty looks but we finally had a couple of people pull over and helped get us unstuck. We could not get good cell service to call anyone to assist us. I was able to text the manager, who is nice and gave me the number of a towing company but we could not call them. We received multiple threats from neighbors that they would have our vehicles towed for parking off the road, but not in the driveway and we were pulled completely off the road.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Stayed here on a family Christmas vacation. Although we loved the private and secluded location of the home with fantastic views of the mountains, the home definitely lacked personal care and upkeep by the homeowner. The main floor was nice and allowed us to enjoy time all together in a cozy setting but it was very dark due to a number of primary light bulbs being burned out. We felt this minor upkeep detail was overlooked by the homeowner. The lower level (basement) definitely needed some upkeep and improvements. The bathrooms were dirty and were in subpar condition. The water pressure in one of the bathrooms was so poor water just dripped out of the sink faucet rendering it virtually unusable. The home has promise but appears to lack necessary care. Probably the biggest improvement needed is the entrance to the house area from the parking area. This is a very steep hill that became quite treacherous to walk down. Some type of steps would definitely solve this. Overall we were disappointed in the home.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We have stayed in numerous cabins in Colorado and this one ranks the lowest but was the most expensive. The location and interior space that Bearview provided was great, but the cleaniness, lack of promised supplies, old and worn out linens/towels, lack of coffee cups, and pots and pans was very disappointing. The wood burning stove kept the cabin warm but upon our arrival there was NO FIREWOOD so we had to make the trek into town to purchase. The lower level was very run down with water stains on the ceiling, mold on the grout in the showers, dirty hot tub, flat matresses, old/worn furniture and mouse traps laying around. This cozy cabin has so much potential, but needs major updates! On a postive note...the manager was very responsive and friendly!

Stayed Aug 24, 2018We had an amazing time at the cabin! Hiking around Montgomery Reservoir and up to Wheeler Lake was spectacular and the fishing was great as well. A few of us even bagged a couple 14ers! Definitely recommend this spot!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Absolutely incredible property nestled into the woods just down from the top of Hoosier Pass. It was the perfect spot for a group get together. Plenty of good beds, lots of open space, and the deck out the back alone is worth booking this cabin. The house has pretty much everything and if you need anything the small town of Alma is just a 5-10 minute drive down the pass and there is a general store / liquor store. Couldn't find the password for the Wifi so emailed the contact and they got back to us about an hour later. I really can't say enough good things about the property and our experience.
