Cleanest cottage we have ever rented! Very modern!

This home is nicely decorated, the beds are comfortable and the kitchen is decently stocked. They have a Keurig so don't bother bringing coffee, bring K cups. The main bath has a bidet feature and is self-opening. As stated by others, the main bedroom doesn't have a closet and the closet in the second bedroom has a piece of furniture in it so hanging clothing is a challenge. I don't personally like having cameras watching me. That, the Keurig and the lack of closet space were the only negatives to the place.

We loved this house! The VRBO listing doesn’t disclose but there is a small unit for rent under this house, so it is a duplex. Not a deal breaker but would have been nice to know as we have little kids who love to walk hard and get up early. Overall, great home. Very clean and a great size. Perfect location- able to walk to pretty much everything! We will be back!

We have been coming to Holden Beach for 30 years. It is our very favorite! Up until this trip we were able to stay at a wonderful house owned by extended family. But it was recently sold. We were pleased with the Sea odyssey. Definitely has weathered many summers and is showing it's age. Although outdated we loved its roomy floor plan and beach accessibility. Our family of 10 ( grandparents children, and grandchildren ) had a wonderful time!

We loved everything about this home. Me and daughter and her best friend had the best vacation ever we enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back to visit this house on our next vacation. To the owners of this beautiful home Thanks for sharing it with us.

Holden Beach is our family's favorite! We have been coming for 30 years. We always stayed at a home owned by extended family. It was sold earlier this year so we were pleasantly surprised to find the Sea odyssey. We loved its roominess and layout for our family. It is dated and shows the wear of many wonderful beach summers but we had a great week!

On the beach and reasonably priced

Price was good for condition of property mgt. Property Management was terrible could not get in for over an hours due to door issues with lock and contacting vacasa. Everything was done by text over cell phone finally reached person who took forever making us go through the process we knew would not work and you really could not use locks or keys for the house.

House was just what we needed. Family had a great time and felt like home while we were there.

Great place to stay. Nice big house for a big family.

We have stayed in vacation homes many years. We have even stayed in third world countries and not had as many issues as we did at the Sea Odyssey. First, the pictures were somewhat deceiving. The furniture actually looked a lot more worn in person, Then, we had issues throughout the week. The first day, there was a nail protruding out of the carpet on the stairs. Out grandson got a 2 scratch on his leg. We were able to remove the nail and reported this issue. That same night, one of the upstairs bathrooms had a tub that would not drain. The tub drain was clogged with a lot of hair. Again, we were able to fix the problem and reported it. The second day, we reported roaches downstairs. An exterminator came the next say. However, we continued to see roached downstairs in the bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen. We also saw roaches in a bathroom and bedroom. We purchased roach spray but the problem continued. A heating and air contractor came to look at the recently installed air conditioner unannounced. We did check with Vacasa to be sure this was legitimate. After that someone called about coming to install a dishwasher the next day for 2 hours. They would have been coming the fourth day of our stay and we had experienced issues for three days. We explained that it wasn't necessary at that point. Again, this was a disappointing stay for the amount of money we paid for this vacation. We have never experienced anything like this before. We feel that we are due a refund.

The house was nice for a vacation. It was roomy. Well stocked. The house was a a quick walk out the back door to the beach.

The location is great. The major appliances (stove, dishwasher) are a bit dated but serviceable. The lack of streaming apps on the TV limited our evening entertainment. But overall it's a really enjoyable place to stay on the beach for a week.

Our family had a wonderful time at Sea Odyssey! There are ample bedrooms, large table to dine together, and the kitchen had most of the things we needed for cooking at home. We all loved the enclosed outdoor shower which is always a feature we want at the beach. The home is definitely older, as well as the furnishings, but it has a classic Holden Beach vibe!

This house fit our family size perfectly and was oceanfront.

As advertised! Everything you need for a comfortable visit to Oak Island. Loved the house, love the town. Will be back.

Property itself was great. During our stay a contractor showed up to clean gutters unannounced. He used my brand new beach chair to prop open the gate and proceeded to dump the mess from the gutters all over it. It ruined the chair before I ever got to use it. With no curtains or shades on the windows in the living area, it was definitely not good for a male to be on a ladder looking in the windows. Some kind of notification would have been appreciated.

Clean, can walk to everything, comfortable beds- just wonderful!!

Being on the beach was great. I’d I had to complain about location the house is super close to public access so set up early but was not an issue for us. House had ac and basic needs to live a week. Bring your own knife because the spoons were sharper. The fridge didn’t close, we learned the hard way on day 1. Biggest bummer when we lost a whole week of food after loading the fridge and spending the day at the beach. To get the fridge to work we had to wedge it closed with a chair against the counter. Other downside was the amount of ants and cockroaches free roaming every morning. So ended up buying containers to seal things in because gross. After those hiccups we didn’t have complaints
