Bayou Bleu - On the Historic Bayou

Great stay thank you so much! Beautiful property and beautiful people!.

My parents (60s), my husband and I (late 30s early 40s), 14 month old and six-year-old stayed here in late March 2025. I grew up in New Orleans and I knew I wanted to be somewhere within walking distance of city Park for the kids. This house has a beautiful waterfront view, it is a three minute walk to the edge of the park in a 10 minute walk to playgrounds, Café Du Monde,, storybook land, and the children’s museum. The museum is amazing, but I think my son had the most fun just on the playground down the street from the house.It was really relaxing to just sit on the porch and have a drink and watch the water and the people going by. The location is also very convenient for groceries, Pharmacy, anything you might need.The house itself is very comfortable and charming, with an updated kitchen. Having Netflix was also great for the kids. The three bedrooms were good for our party. We picked up all our essentials at Whole Foods 5 min away and were set for the 4-5 days we were there. The host was very easy to communicate with and let us do a later checkout than was listed. The only small thing I can even think to say otherwise is I wish there had been a pack and play to use for the 14 month old. We brought our guava lotus instead. I would definitely stay here again!! Visited family fot the holiday. Great location. Owner provided a lot of ideas for walkable restaurants. Nice home.

The home was charming and comfortable and just right for our needs. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen well stocked, the showers hot, and the A/C comfortably cool. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch overlooking the bayou. The area was quiet and easily accessible. Walked to Cafe Du Monde in City Park for beignets for breakfast one day. Walked to Ralph’s on the Park for a celebratory graduation dinner. I recommend this property.

The property was beautifully furnished, clean, and perfectly located across the street from Bayou St. John with a great porch. Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

This is a lovely house in a wonderful neighborhood. We really enjoyed sitting on the porch and watching the activity on the Bayou. It’s very easy to take the trolley or Lyft down to the French Quarter. City park is just a couple of blocks away. The kitchen has almost everything you’d want, except for a coffee grinder. The bathrooms have shampoo and conditioner, and there was a hair dryer in our bathroom. This was a great place to stay for 5 adults who didn’t want the crazy activity in the French Quarter.

This property was perfect for my large family. The amenities are wonderful-beds are super comfortable and the linens are great. Plenty of blankets and towels. The location could not be better. We all walked to City Park (across the street) for beignets and coffee. The Fairgrounds are just a short walk away as well. The area feels safe and quiet. This was our second stay in this home and we will certainly rent it again!
