Bare Feet Retreat - Gorgeous Gulf Views, Private Pool, Easy Beach Access!

We had a great time during our stay. The house was big enough to give everyone some privacy, but there was also plenty of room for us to gather and spend time together. The only downside was the beach at the closest access (barracuda) was private so we had to walk down to the next access for the public beach section.

Our stay was the best we ever experienced staying In. I would highly recommend this place especially for families.

The house was nice and big. The cleanliness of the house was not the best at all. The floors look like they have never been cleaned. It needs a deep clean. Even though the beach access is across the street you still have to walk a ways to set up in a small area roped off. The doorknobs were hard to turn in the house. There was no potholders and only 2 kitchen towels. I wouldn't recommend this house to anyone. It needs more storage in the bedrooms. We had to put clothes on the floor. It is very warm in the house with a few box fans that they gave us so if you like it cold at night this house isn't for you. With the amount of money we spent for one week I felt duped for sure. I didn't sleep good because it was so warm in the house. Will never stay here again. Whoever cleans needs to do better. Even the couches look old and dirty.

The house was impressive, heard a few kids passing by describing it as a mansion. Also returned from the beach once and there was a family taking pics of themselves on the front steps. Thought it was very pricey for a property on directly on the beach. Didn't look like pool maintenance had been done from the previous occupants, the pool guy guy showed up on the second day of our stay. Also was annoyed by the fact that bathroom doorknobs weren't working properly and the ice maker frequently jammed, On a more positive note we had an electrical issue once night( lights flickering ), made a call to management, and a technician showed up in about a half hour. Turns out it was an issue that had nothing to do with the house. The response was impressive since it was the 4th of July holiday week. It was enjoyable and the whole family had a great time.

The house and balcony views were beautifull. Spiral stair case was cool but it is 4 stories so keep that in mind. My only issues were the ac only keep a few rooms in the house cool. And some of the vents were stuck(it was hot couldnt sleep well). The pool was dirty. Its an older house so the doors and hardware are a little dilapidated. And the beach access in right across the street from the house is for private beach access. Our public access was 400ft down. Not a big deal just passing info on.

This house was more than we could have ever expected! It was beautiful and had more than enough space for our big family and was stocked with plenty of towels and other amenities! The location was perfect and close to restaurants and shops. I would 100% recommend and would love to stay here again

The house was very spacious and comfortable for a big family loved how it was accessible to beach. Loved the views from every floor. The pool could have been cleaner.

Our stay was phenomenal, superb location and accommodations, we had 9 adults and were all very comfortable. Even had a private chef come in and prepare dinner, it was a great house to host in. Perfect for going to and from beach as well.

We rented this home for an extended family vacation with people coming from several states, only one by car. We found it to be a big house in a great location with a lot of issues. Pros -big, lots of beds, room for our group to spread out and have fun while kids slept in other areas -amazing location right across from beach access, near stores and restaurants, ocean views from the many balconies -excellent water pressure -floors (except kitchen) were clean and sand free when we arrived which is no small feat Cons -kitchen was filthy. Stovetop and all cookware were not cleaned so we had to wash everything before using it. Grout had oily stains and brown blotches all over and needs a deep clean. -strange lack of furniture in bedrooms. Aside from beds there were no dressers or anything to unpack suitcases. Several rooms had a table or sideboard that was falling apart (wobbly legs, peeling fake wood, etc) - lots of stuff that looked fancy but didn’t actually work out well. Ex- the banister and railing on the stairs are all metal. There’s no hand rail on top so if you actually need to lean on it you are pressing a narrow metal piece about 1cm wide and it hurts. Fancy botanical railing is also super easy for kids to climb up so beware. Ex- high top table in kitchen has what appears to be a glass protector laid on top. But when you try to straighten it you discover that it’s actually plexiglass that has been glued down crooked and is too big for the table, leaving sharp plexiglass corners pointing off the table for people to bump into. -SAFETY- most of the many doors in the home are French doors and do not close or latch properly. Some only stay closed when locked, some only latch at the top or bottom sliders and not the deadbolts which appear to be locked but slide out. This includes doors which open to the pool. We had to move furniture to block a door that we could not get to stay closed enough to keep a preschooler inside. SAFETY- the pool alarms were all deactivated when we got there, despite placards on every window stating the alarms cannot be deactivated. Some were breaking off the doors. We discovered this when our special needs preschooler appeared by the pool alone due to the lack of alarms and doors that don’t latch. Thankfully we saw him right away from the window in another room but it was terrifying. Maintenance helped us get them set up (except brokenone) but make sure you check when you arrive if you have kids!

We enjoyed staying here. The location was great. Will definitely stay here again.
