Welcome to the little red house in Bancroft, ID. We are small country town -- away from the hustle and bustle of big city life. With beautiful mountain views, a large yard, and room for 5, it’s a great spot if you are here in the area for work, or visiting Lava as a family. Only a quick 15 min drive to Lava Hot Springs!
Our little town has a train that runs through it. It may cause light sleepers to wake at night so we want guests to be aware.

Stayed Jul 11, 2024I loved all in improvement made to the house because of how old the house is. The washer and dryer were a lifesaver when my littles didn’t feel good in the night. It was a nice comfortable stay for a family of 5.

Stayed Jun 29, 2024Less coffee, more cutlery. We are the rare people who actually like to cook when we travel, hence renting a house with a kitchen rather than a hotel room. There was coffee for dayz, but not a single knife to chop veggies or cut steaks, etc. Also, cooking spray would be nice. Other than that, the property is cute and comfortable. It was clean, but still smells a bit like grandma's house. And I did understand prior to booking it was by a railroad track, just didn't realize how active and loud that track is, especially at 12am, and again at 2am, and again at 4am...

Stayed Jan 31, 2026House was old, cold, not a good rental. Froze at night. Bad, REALLY bad mattresses. Better described as pads. Would NOT recommend and will NOT be staying there again.

Stayed Jul 3, 2025We loved your cute little house! It was perfect for one night and the location was great.We stayed here for the convince of being near Lava hot springs and not having to drive far to get back the next day. Everything was clean and spacious.I would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Stayed May 2, 2025There is a train crossing a block away and it honks all night long. Horrible place to sleep. The house was clean inside though. It smells like natural gas though.
