St. George & Vicinity:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
St. George's trademark is its geography - sitting at the northeastern edge of the Mojave desert, surrounded by mountains on all sides with the Virgin River running through the city.
St. George is one of the fastest growing cities in the U.S. It's also known as 'Utah's Dixie' because of its temperate climate. Mild winters make it ideal for year-round golf with 10 of Utah's best courses are located! The city is the business and cultural center for SW Utah, and is a major gateway to nearby Zion National Park.
Nice property and location in Sand Hollow.
We stayed at Andy's place and had a great time except when one of our 3 vehicles alternator went out! We contacted Andy and he graciously allowed us to extend an additional day because no mechanic shops were open on Sunday! He gave us some great mechanic (and restaurant) recommendations...clean and well kept house! Thank you!
The house is exactly as pictured, and a good locale to see the area parks. There is a restaurant on site that is a real convenience. A couple little things that could be easily fixed to make it 5 stars: add hand soap in the master bathroom, soft towels, dish soap in kitchen, and add a t.v to one of the guest rooms. Remove the copious amount of fake plants that are dust collectors. Small things that can make a big difference.
Totally relaxing weekend and the house was a great accommodation. Totally clean and well equipped for a great time. Location is close Hurricane and St George for all of the great activities available. We had a great time there.
House was amazing!! Location was perfect. Sand Hollow Resort was beautiful and plenty of parks around. House was stocked with what we needed and spacious for 6 of us. Thanks
This home is absolutely beautiful! Plenty of space for a family. Love that the master suite is on other side of the house. Lots to do in the resort but we actually spent most of our time hiking trails in Zion. Watching the sunrise every morning from the roof top balcony was my favorite!
This house was perfect for my family's vacation to the national parks (Bryce Canyon and Zion). Perfect location. The house is beautiful. Check-in was a breeze. 3 pools for relaxing. Explored Hurricane and Springdale. Just spot on! You can't go wrong with this one.
We stayed at this fantastic gem of a house for six days, and even though it was Spring Break, we found the whole area to be beautiful, quiet and relaxing. The house is well appointed, tastefully decorated and well laid out. The backyard was very nice, and the rooftop was a big hit with everyone. I chose this house because it faced open space, and I was not disappointed. We enjoyed the view of the spectacular snow-capped peaks of the Pine Valley Mountains while hanging out on the rooftop. The kids loved the choice of three pools, each with different features. The Mom loved getting a fancy drink at the clubhouse. The grandma enjoyed talking to the locals in the hot tub and learning more about the area. Everyone was very friendly. The family enjoyed trying pickleball, located next to one of the pools. (It's fun!) This was our first time in SW Utah and we took advantage of the location and visited nearby national, state and local parks. Wow, there were so many great choices! The owner, Andy, was great to communicate with and made some great suggestions for places to visit. The restaurants and coffee shop we tried in Hurricane and St. George were all very good - even driving to the restaurants provided spectacular views. I would definitely return!
We enjoyed our stay! Everything was great, only downside was we couldn’t stay longer to enjoy it all. This is a great location close to things but quiet and private. Communication with the owners was great! We would definitely recommend this rental and would love to come back again.
Nice place & great location
We can not say enough good about this property. If we could give more than five stars we would. The home was definitely all that was promised and more and Andy and Monika are hosts that go beyond what you could ask for. We hope to return someday.
Host is super nice. Great view from patio roof. Plan to come back soon!
Location is great. House is beautiful. Check in process is a bit frustrating, since it’s actually through the resort, not your typical VRBO check in.
Nice home and owners were very very helpful with our accommodations.
Great location. Comfortable home.
My family stayed six nights at the Chaco retreat and visited Zion National Park and the Grand Canyon. The location was wonderful and the home is beautiful. It’s located in the Sand Hollow Resort which was extremely quiet and centrally located. I would definitely recommend this home.
Absolutely perfect - definitely staying here again for another trip to Zion ! Very comfortable, spacious, well stocked. Bedrooms, bathrooms large and plenty of room, beds are super comfy (especially for afternoon naps after long morning hikes). Inside / Outside spotless clean. Plenty of wildlife to see - if you keep a keen eye out. We even had a full size owl sitting on our wall late afternoons until almost sundown, made the already amazing trip more magical. Logistics can't be beat, might have been the easiest we've ever done - Checking in / out was so fast and it's really turn-key simple and everything about this property is very well thought out. Both the property owners and the close by property management for check in / check out are accessible for any questions, or suggestions. All written, verbal communication is also well thought out, easy to follow. Just having that easy communication flow just really took it up several notches. The kitchen was perfect for three adults to move around, prep big salads and bbq items chatting about our morning hikes and plans for the next day. We ate outside every evening watching gorgeous sunsets. One night there was a small and fast moving summer rain storm and we still stayed outside eating under cover. Big skies full of colors to watch then the big stars come out. Very easy to reach Zion - We were out of the house everyday by 6am for 35min drive to Zion and home by noon to beat the heat and crowds. Two options for markets on way back to the house, both well stocked. If you're driving from LA I'd suggest stopping at the Linn's in St. George on way to the house, it's massive and is like a Whole Foods meets Pavillions meets Costco has everything including paddleboards and kayaks and all sorts of water sport items including good safety options. There's another Linn's in Hurricane on way back from Zion, it's good too - just smaller, we stopped there a few times on way home to get extra cravings of ice cream, cheesecakes and more greens. When we first were looking at properties to stay, we kind of struggled between do we get a place closer to the park but very glad we stuck with our first choice of Chaco, the drive in / out goes fast, well kept roads, beautiful scenery on the drive out, no traffic. Super easy. This Chaco property is very special, we'll be back !
House is exactly as described and nicely appointed. Location is everything!! Close to lake. Close to Golf. Close to atv trails. This is the second time we rented this house and wasn’t disappointed. We will be back ?
Very clean and organized. Super easy check in and check out. In a great location and very affordable. I would definitely stay here again.
Great property. Loved the rooftop deck.
