Backroad Getaway -New 3-bedroom retreat near Sports at the Beach & DE Turf

We came to Delaware for a lacrosse tournament and this house exceeded all of our expectations. It was clean, not cluttered, the beds were comfortable, the 3 bedrooms & 2 full bathrooms were great for 5 people. The kitchen is wonderful, lots of items for all your cooking and eating needs. There was lots of room to move around, plenty of seating. The backyard fire pit and chairs is a nice touch. We would definitely stay again. The hosts live nearby and were very responsive to any questions.

Property was fantastic. Quit and peacful. Everything that you need and very clean.

The owners made sure the driveway was shoveled and left us a seashell!

The house is exactly as described, was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Quiet location, in the country. Definitely would rent again, much better than having to get two hotel rooms for the six of us. Owners were very responsive for any questions. Excellent rental!!

We loved our stay! We did have to leave a day early because of the weather though, We live in North Carolina and couldn't get stuck there but everything was great! Very clean, and everything we needed was there! We did want a crock pot because we were out most of the day each day and just wanted to come back to a Hot meal that was already ready and the host brought one over for us! :-) Also we waited last minute to book in the day was closed and he was able to open that day back up for us so we could have somewhere to stay the first night we got there! Great host! 10/10

This was our second stay - and has become a family tradition the week of New Years. Simply stated - the home and hosts are exceptional in all regards! The hosts thought of everything in terms of the kitchen, outside entertainment, and everything that makes a home feel like home. The home is immaculate - and the location is perfect. It's close enough to Rehobeth Beach to be very convenient - but far enough away to be very peaceful and relaxing. We enjoyed everything:-)!

The best stay I’ve had

The house was comfortable, clean and convenient. The fire pit was such a nice treat on a fall evening. This was the perfect place for us to stay with another couple as we were in town for a wedding. Highly recommend!

Extremely clean, new build, & full amenities. King bed was a little soft and lumpy but overall comfortable enough for a decent night sleep.

Everything- and we mean EVERYTHING- was excellent. Tastefully appointed home on quiet street. Comfortable for our family of five.

Check-in was very easy, was given the key code for the sort a few days before arrival. Kitchen was well equipped for all daily needs. House was perfect for our family of 5’s vacation and baseball tournament at SATB! Owners were quick to respond to any questions/needs during our stay! 1000% recommend!!!

This house was an excellent getaway after spending long days at Sports at the Beach. It was quiet and relaxing and even my 11 year old said he enjoyed it. The house is clean, comfortable and well maintained. My 6 year old loved to see the deer and babies in the yard. I’d recommend this to anyone looking to have a quiet getaway while still being close to plenty to do.

Absolutely loved this new home. The location was so peaceful and the great to attend a tournament at the DE Sports Complex. The owners thought of everything and had it all there on site (wood for fire pit, grill, towels, corn hole, etc.). Will stay here in the future if tournaments bring us up to this area again.

We had an amazing stay at Backroad gateway over a long weekend! The property was very clean and had everything we needed for the weekend including a great backyard and grill. The kids had their dream come true sleeping in bunk beds. Overall it was a wonderful, memorable stay and we will try to visit again!!

We stayed for a tournament at DE turf and this property was perfect - about a 20 minute drive to the turf, and not far from many beaches and cute towns. The house is located on a quiet road, beautiful property with lovely fire pit out back too. Inside the house was spotless - clean, open layout, and it had everything you could possibly need. The property owners really put a lot of thought into details, it was such a cute place. We will be back!

Came back home from PA to visit family and this house was just perfect to do that! Had spacious bedrooms and bathrooms and comfortable furniture and SO clean!! The backyard was amazing for us all to hang out with the fire going. The hosts were amazing with communication. Definitely recommend staying and I will be back!

We came in from out of town to work in the area.All the home we rented, this was the best home we have stayed in.Quiet area and the home was more than we expected.If available book this home first.

My family and I cannot say enough great things about the home or hosts! The home was everything pictured plus so much more. Perhaps thoughtful in all regards is the one word to describe everything about both the home and hosts! The home location is rural and peaceful while only 30 minutes from the heart of Rehoboth Beach. We'll never forget the memories of our amazing stay - and plan to become regulars:-)! In fact, we're getting ready to book again:-)!

This house is essentially brand new, and therefore really nice and clean. Equipped with mostly everything needed for a pleasant stay. Only things we'd suggest adding to the kitchen are a corkscrew and some wine glasses (all the cups are plastic), and a baking sheet. The surroundings were very quiet and peaceful, with a big backyard where a family of 3 deer visited every evening. Since the home is located on a road with several farms, we noticed that special smell a few times, and the tap water always seemed to smell of sulphur. Not a big deal at all, just something to be aware of. For us, we loved being in a quiet location in a really cute new house, and would definitely return next time we're in the area.
