Anchors Down Lakeside Retreat 15 min to Clemson Dock, Padle boat, Kayaks

Really enjoyed our stay. Perfect place to stay for our fishing trip. Pool table was fun and had a great spot out front for cornhole.

House was clean and comfortable.We had everything we needed for cooking . We enjoyed using the pool table and the board games . We also used the outside dock for fishing and enjoyed playing around the water with kayaks. Great family gathering .

This cute little lake house was perfect for our family of 5. Each room had 2 beds ( no tvs), but we were so tired from fishing and kayaking that sleep was easy. Screened porch was great for the occasional rain that passed through. Sheets and house was clean and kitchen had basic utensils for use. Just be ready to make a trek to and from the dock as the hill was pretty steep. The area was nice and quiet with very little boats passing through. Although we were there in April, we only saw a few jet skis and small boat. Perfect for that weekend getaway.

Exceptionally clean home with graciously stocked kitchen, super comfy beds, and plenty of room for everyone in the family room for movie nights. We loved the large dining room table which not only had enough room for all of us to enjoy our meals but also play the board games the host provided. The highlight of our trip was the pool table! What a fun space in the home! Unfortunately due to the rain we didn’t get out to the dock. The home was so comfy and so tastefully decorated that it truly felt like home- all the way to the beautiful Christmas tree in the family room! We absolutely would recommend this home! Thank you also to the lovely hosts for an unexpected little gift!

Amazing home.....generous host

We checked into this cozy home and were welcomed with a special gift from the owners. The owners thought of everything and it shows. It was a beautiful fall Clemson football weekend! we enjoyed our time on the dock relaxing and on the back porch drinking our coffee.

We came to Clemson to visit our son (Sr. @ Clemson) and attend the Clemson-SMU game. John & Terri’s house was perfect - very clean and as advertised on VRBO. Great place to hangout and John quickly responded to all questions. I would recommend their house to anyone visiting the area.

Everything about the experience was top notch. The host thought of everything that a place needs for comfort and enjoyment in a property. Also, the maintenance of the property was better than any other location we have stayed.

House is nice and very well stocked. Only 20 mins to Clemson campus!

Lovely property- we had a great visit!

We had a wonderful long weekend to celebrate daughter’s summer graduation. House is comfortable and well appointed. Enjoyed a family billiards match (graduate won). Swam off the dock and watched some beautiful sunsets. We rented a boat from Tricounty Boat Rentals. They delivered to nearby Friendship landing which was 7-10 min away by boat and car. Went tubing and explored much of the lake. Nice relaxing time. Would highly recommend this property!

I loved this property! Everything was clean and in order. The owners were so kind and made sure everything was good for our family. The house was well stocked with everything we needed. We loved the dock it was perfect for renting a boat and fishing from the dock. Would definitely recommend staying here.

The Lakehouse was an excellent getaway for us while we visited Clemson. They had everything we could ask for. We will definitely visit again.

We stayed 4 nights and thoroughly enjoyed the quiet location and the private lake dock. The concrete path to the dock was especially nice and our 2 pups had more fun than we did in the lake. Definitely recommended.

Wonderful property Pros: very clean, everything seemed new and well taken care of, great appliances, house layout and rooms were accommodating for our party, comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen, nice dock to hangout on, great location because it is situated on a quiet inlet away from noise and party boats, hosts were very responsive.Cons: none that I can think of.

This is an exceptional property with all the comforts of home. The house is immaculate and so warm and inviting. The screened in back porch was our favorite spot for coffee in the morning or at night before bed. John and Terri are great hosts. They surprised us with a cake for graduation - so thoughtful! We will definitely be back!

It is clear that the couple who owns/manages this property is dedicated to making your stay top-notch. The home has everything you need (and more), is well-organized, clean and comfortable. Took a weekend fishing trip with group of friends. The house worked perfect with the double beds in each room. The place was clean, close to the water, and close to town. Owners were quick to respond with any questions we had. Highly recommend!

What a great weekend! My son and I met old friends (Dad & 3 sons) for our annual Clemson trip. The house was perfect for us! Plenty of room and the boys loved the pool table. Everything was top notch! Thank you so much!

We loved this house! It was the perfect spot to gather as a family and really spend quality time together. We were there to celebrate our Clemson son’s ring ceremony and my birthday and John and Terri were so kind and had a beautiful cake waiting for us in the fridge! Such a sweet surprise. The pool table was so fun to have and a big hit. And the kitchen was very well supplied with everything we needed to cook any meals. And the back screened in porch was so lovely, for reading, morning coffee, afternoon beverages and listening to all the birds. We would absolutely return, thank you John and Terri!

Our family stayed at Anchors Down and we had a great, relaxing time. Property has a private feel and we enjoyed the screened porch. The house was clean, beds were comfortable. Good host communication.

Everything was perfect. Pictures and listing are very accurate. Lots of information was provided about the local area and things to do. Our hosts checked on us after check in to make sure all was good with the house. We highly recommend and look forward to returning when it’s a little warmer so we can go in the lake.

We were looking to get away to the lake for a few days and turned out perfect. Lake house was very comfortable, The Lake was very quite and private. The large screened in porch was nice to sit on and relax. Location is close to a lot of state parks which is also great. Highly recommend.

This house was perfect for our weekend in Clemson. Close enough to town to get easily to game day activities but far enough away to have peace and quiet for enjoying family. I highly recommend this place for families and friends

Super house for family and football!

Wish we had more time to spend at the house but our schedule was packed. Looking forward to booking this house again.

We had the bittersweet experience of bringing our daughter to Clemson for the new school year. The lake house was perfect for our family and the pool table gave everyone the chance to put down our phones and enjoy each other before “send off”. Owner was very accommodating and communication was great!

Our family of 6 had such a wonderful stay! We loved the kayaks, canoe and pedal boat and were grateful for the abundance of life jackets and noodles. The house perfectly matched the description, and the host was communicative and kind. We hope to return next summer and make this our new summer tradition!

Everything was simply beautiful

This was a great place for a family get away. We enjoyed time with our children and grandchildren, ages infant to 10 years old. The house and grounds were safe for children and we enjoyed the screened in porch and dock very much. There was adequate space for us with 5 adults and 2 children.Nice beach towels were provided. I recommend this property if you want something quiet and peaceful on the water.
