Stayed Jul 12, 2025When we arrived at the property, we were greeted by a large overflowing trash can in front of the garage door (near condo front door). Several bags and loose trash were above the container lid, so it did not shut. I contacted the property management company on Saturday a little after 4:00pm. I was asked to send a picture, which I did (attached to this message) and was assured the trash would be cleaned up. We stayed until Wednesday; the trash was never cleaned up. I contacted the management company several more times about the trash. Each time I was assured the trash would be picked up. However it was never picked up during our stay. On Tuesday, the property management company asked me to wheel the trash container to the street for pick up. I respectfully refused, it was not my mess and would have required me to move a heavy unwieldy trash can up a steep driveway (about 8 foot high) three condos away. The request to clean up a prior tenet's mess, days after our initial complaint, was unreasonable and left me even more upset. So, we spent 5 days at the property and we dealt with someone else's stinky trash the entire stay. After our stay I was contacted by the property management company representative, who defended their actions to resolve the trash problem. I found the lack of accountability to be further troubling and an additional example of the lack of respect we were given. So, I will share our treatment widely and encourage others to learn from our experiences.
