This house was great! Roomy, clean, great view of the Nubble lighthouse from the 2nd floor deck (and a quick walk from the house). We were in town for a wedding, so we didn’t get to take full advantage of all the amenities this place had to offer (game room, fully stocked kitchen). If we ever visit Maine again, I would definately stay here!

We really enjoyed our stay at this house and appreciated the largeness of the space. We were able to enjoy a lovely week with family! We only noticed that the floors were not cleaned before we arrived, but otherwise everything was great!

The house itself was large & spacious enough for our group of 13 and able to host extra family visitors for dinners. Great view of the Nubble Lighthouse, plenty of porches for people to hang out. Short walk to the lighthouse, Dunne’s ice cream and the View Point. A bit far to walk to beaches but golf cart transportation rides are available for an inexpensive fee. The game room was fun for the group however, the basement where it is located was a bit musty even with the dehumidifier running. Much smaller in person than seems in the pictures. We ended up purchasing our own bath towels as the ones provided were not to our liking and there did not seem to be enough of them. Plenty of kitchenware for cooking. 2nd fridge in garage came in handy. Appreciate the fact that the house is dog friendly but there was a lot of dog hair leftover from previous guests on certain furnitures. The couches in the main living room did seem to be new and were very comfortable. The 2 porches that are not screened in needed a good cleaning. We also wished there were more trash receptacles or some sort of an outdoor bin to store bags of trash. The landscaping was a bit overgrown and could use some attention. There was plenty of air conditioning provided however, we discovered bugs getting in and had to tape around some of the units. Overall we had a great time but would not rent this home again due to location being too far from the beaches to walk and overall cleanliness.

The house is nice with ample room for everyone. Lots of games in the basement for rainy days, walking distance to the lighthouse and two ice cream places.

Property was clean, house itself a bit old, but is expected in this historic area. Views of the lighthouse right from the second story rooms. Only had a minor issue with a window AC unit leaking water and cold air during a rain storm, had to take it out to close window and warm up the space. Otherwise happy with the stay.

Warm inviting home that you can feel comfortable in, even with toddlers running about. While the view of Nubble Light is magazine worthy, especially the sunrise behind, the homes casual atmosphere is not that of sterile houses you’d see in magazines.

We loved everything! The house has such great space for a group. The balconies and verandas are perfect spots to enjoy with your family. The only thing to improve would be the mattresses.

The house lived up to its description on the VRBO website......plenty of beds for everyone..... a large fully equipped kitchen...great outdoor decks,....a spacious living room and dining room.....plenty of parking ... a great location with a short walk to Nubble Lighthouse. House was clean and welcoming. Outdoor yard could use some TLC. Attendees had high marks for the VRBO. No complaints. We plan to return in a few years!

Here are the positives: 1. The kitchen was stocked with everything you might need, including small appliances (you will have to clean them before use). 2. There was ping pong, billiards and air hockey in the basement, plenty of board games and lots of videos to watch plus a bookshelf filled with books of various genres. 3. There were lots of night lights for the bathrooms and the halls. Now the negatives: This VRBO was the worst maintained and the most expensive we have stayed in. We have been coming to this area for 10 years now. 1. The description said the house had AC – it did not. I do not call a window unit in 1 bedroom upstairs, a stand-alone in another bedroom when there were 4 bedrooms and a stand-alone unit downstairs to be ac. We were hot, hot, hot sleeping! 2. The stand-alone unit in the bedroom overflowed and had to be mopped up. Huge mess. 3. There were fans in the hall upstairs that were broken and could not be used. 5. There was a TV upstairs in one of the bedrooms but no devices to use it. 6. The house needed a thorough cleaning. There were dead bugs and dust on lots of surfaces. 7. The washing machine was unbelievable dirty, and the dryer had enough lint in the catcher to start a small fire. 8. We sat outside on the chairs and the cushions provided no cushion. We could feel the rungs of the seats. 9. The pictures of the rooms are deceiving. They must have been taken 5 or more years ago. The living room furniture was dirty and needed

Day of taking occupancy, received a call from Heidi that a double booking occurred, leaving us without a place to stay. After a few frantic hours of searching everywhere, Heidi found one property that was available, hyped it to us as an upgrade which it was in terms of size and high end finishes. However, the house was still under renovation, unsafe for small children, and dirty. We were no told of the house’s condition before arriving there. Due to asthmatic grandchildren I had specifically booked a house with central air, this mansion lacked a/c in some common rooms. The owner and Heidi were not honest about the conditions of the house, leaving us with either no vacation or making the best of it. We chose to make the best of it. Heidi agreed to send a pair of cleaners back on Sunday to clean 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. I only had access to a half bath and shared with my grandsons. A workman came and installed a window air conditioner into a bedroom for my grandson. We left the house cleaner than when we arrived and I will never rent through Heidi’s management company again.

The size of the house and layout of the space was perfect! The location is fantastic, walking distance to Nubble light house and Dunes ice cream. Short drive to both Long and Short Sands. We really enjoyed all of the above. Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the house was extremely poor and we spend the first few days cleaning ourselves. Floors were really dirty, basement wasn't clean at all, floors not swept and sticky, ping pong table not wiped at all, bedding was sandy( linen was from dry cleaners and was good) and under beds and near corners of room were trash and dirt (old band aid, pacifiers, wrappers). We we're excited when the cleaners called us at 2:30pm to say the property was ready early, and unfortunately, seems like only a surface level cleaning is done. Also, the property outside is not maintained, overgrown bushes, yard hard to access (poop on the lawn when we got there). Hope the property company will share this with the owner as the house could be a 5 star if the cleaning was done better.

While the house has beautiful views and the check-in process was easy, we were disappointed with the overall condition and cleanliness. The kitchen floors were dirty, the coffee pot had leftover grinds, and the grill was filthy. The outdoor furniture was covered in pollen, and we had to spend a lot of time cleaning. The grounds were overgrown and unkempt, and the house and furniture were in more than used shape. Despite informing the rental company, we never heard back. The overall experience did not meet our expectations.
