Brian is an excellent and communicative host! We chose the house because it was near family that we were visiting for the holidays and because of the photographs. This place defies all expectations. It is incredible. You’re very close to other houses, but you feel like you’re all alone on the hill overlooking the Pacific. Inside it’s spacious, luxurious and stylish. Every morning, sitting on the deck with a cup of coffee, watching the neighborhood hawk perch in the tower across the street was just one of many unforgettable moments. We’ve been to some beautiful vacation homes, Galway Ireland, the garden District in New Orleans. This house outshines them all. We want to make it our West Coast house when we come and visit family friends in Encinitas.

This is a 5 star place. Great view!!Walkable to the beach, markets and Cardiff by the sea. This house has a great layout & wonderful kitchen. Very clean & fun. Would stay there again!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The view was breathtaking. We liked being able to walk to restaurants. It's conveniently located close to the beach, and botanic gardens. The estuary provided walking and bird viewing opportunities. The kitchen was well accessorized with high quality appliances. The four porches delightful. It was a comfortable, relaxing environment. The hosts were very responsive to questions. We had a wonderful time.

This was a great place to stay! Location is walking distance to great trails, restaurants and shops! 10 out of 10 will absolutely stay here again!!!!

My daughter and I stayed in this lovely property in a sweet village of Encinitas. The uplifting and beautiful view, access to walking/running trails as well as the village market and restaurants together with the beautiful San Diego weather made what was a business trip feel like a restful time away.

We truly enjoyed this property and would recommend it to anyone, especially families travelling with kids. Very spacious and clean. The view was incredible as well.

Between the estuary, the birds, the sunsets (and sunrises), it’s the perfect retreat in a wonderful area. (make sure you try the tri-tip sandwich at Seaside Market and enjoy the quiet and comfort!)

This is a true gem in quiet Cardiff by the Sea! We were here for 9 days and loved everything about our stay! Great walking trails near by, beach is close, neighborhood is quiet and this home is top notch. The owners went out of their way to make sure our stay was perfect! We will be back!

House has a great floor plan and is very nicely decorated. Multiple balconies/back deck provide great views and/or places to relax outside. Easy to walk to the impressive trail system in the nearby estuary. Shops, restaurants and the beach are also reachable by foot. We enjoyed the 15-20 min walk through neighborhoods day and night. Liked the added security of a lock on both the outdoor stair entry and to the house. Wi-Fi worked well for several video meetings.
