Amazing ocean views of Frenchman Bay, minutes from Acadia and Bar Harbor

We had a wonderful stay here . The house was clean and stocked with everything that we needed. My only complaint would be the living room furniture. There wasn’t enough seating for everyone and it was uncomfortable the same goes for the deck other than that the house was great and the location was close to town

We just spent a magical week here with our four boys (aged eight and under) and we’re already scheming our next visit. This house is genuinely one of the best places we’ve ever stayed with young kids, and we don’t say that lightly.The location was ideal for everything we wanted to do — close to Bar Harbor, Acadia, and all the spots that made our week so special. It’s a beautiful, thoughtfully equipped home that clearly was set up by people who care.The setup for families is exceptional. The yard was perfect for the boys to run around while the baby napped, and both the yard and the porch felt so safe for the kids to play on. We especially loved that the landscaping created a clear, natural boundary from the water — as parents of little ones, that gave us real peace of mind.And the chipmunks! The kids were absolutely enchanted. We loved that they had names, and the boys were convinced they could tell them apart and spent the week calling them by name. Feeding them became one of the highlights of the whole trip.We also have to mention the binder — we read the entire thing, and it’s hands down the most helpful guest binder we have ever come across. The local recommendations were spot on. Sweet Peas, in particular, was a fantastic call: they have a whole field where the kids can play with soccer balls while you eat, and the food was excellent!

Kevin was great to communicate with. Very thorough and property was very clean. Enjoyed our time exploring Acadia and the surrounding area, and will look to return. Great stay!

Came to Baycliff for a week of cross country skiing on the Acadia carriage roads. The house is wonderful! It is very warm and cozy. The views are truly like a postcard. The kitchen had the appliances/dishes/utencils/pots and pans I needed to make my own meals and the washer and dryer were very helpful. The location is very convenient to Acadia and downtown Bar Harbor. The owner was extremely responsive and friendly. If you have the opportunity to stay here, do it!

The house was clean, views were amazing (especially sunrise), the kitchen was well appointed (would like a toaster), rooms have amazing views of the bay, the deck would have been great to utilize but the weather was cool, loved the drive through the woods to get to the house, and the host periodically called to make sure all was well.Property was very private.

What an amazing place. The view of Frenchman’s Bay, the house and all amenities, communication with owner/manager, proximity to Acadia and downtown Bar Harbor was beyond excellent! We could not have asked for anything better. Having the chipmunks to feed was a sweet bonus. Highly recommend!!!

We had amazing stay at Baycliff. The house is in great location, only 10 minutes from Acadia NP and downtown Bar Harbor. The house has great deck with beautiful view of the Bay; very clean and very well equipped. Kevin was great host; quick to respond to any questions.We truly enjoyed this vacation and would definitely come back again.

This charming New England home was perfect for our first visit to Maine. Kitchen is well stocked for cooking in, Conveniently located to downtown Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. But also perfect for relaxing on the deck and taking in the amazing view. Kevin is a fantastic host, quickly responds to all communication, and clearly loves sharing this property with others. We will be back to Baycliff!

Great location! Very quiet and away from the hussle of downtown, but a quick drive away. Check-in couldn't be easier. Communication with Kevin on our 1 issue was quick and taken care of right away. And the views were worth every minute we spent enjoying. Amazimg sunrises.

The house is comfortable and clean with all the amenities. It’s tastefully decorated and pleasant to be in. The long deck overlooking the bay is gorgeous.We felt the quiet peace and serenity during our stay. Sightings of bald eagles, loons cormorants and seals were delightful.Our host was quick to respond to any issues.We highly recommend this place.

Amazing location, very close to Acadia and Bar Harbor. Home was well stocked and very comfortable to relax. A major bonus was being able to have our dogs along!

A beautiful and serene place. The sunrise and sunsets are amazing (from the house!) 10 minute drive to bar harbor and Acadia. Super clean and tidy and has everything needed to make a variety of meals. A real home away from home! We hiked, kayaked, and enjoyed a live production at the Acadia Rep Theatre.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Baycliff. The peaceful setting on Frenchman Bay was the perfect place to relax, with plenty of birds and sea life to keep us entertained. Kevin was a wonderful host—friendly, attentive, and quick to respond to any questions.We truly loved our week there and hope to return!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Baycliff, being 2 adults & 2 18 y/o 'kids'. The view is truly mesmerizing, one of the best on MDI ! Super clean. Well appointed, they thought of everything you might need. The building and furnishings are in excellent condition. Owner is helpful and highly responsive to questions. This is a comfortable, cozy cottage. The rooms are small, but some big windows, skylights and high ceilings help it feel spacious. The wifi connections were solid and fast. We were able to 'work from home' when required, from the lower level space, with clear uninterrupted zoom and remote desktop connections. When not working or out in the park playing, we were able to stream music or netflix without any issues. As described, the other cottages on site share the waters-edge deck occasionally, so it is not completely private but there is enough distance between to be comfortable. The only possible improvement might be a sliding insulated window (instead of folding doors) between lower bedroom & living room for increased sound separation for those on different sleep schedules (ie teenagers vs middle agers...), although enjoying the amazing view from all rooms was appreciated. We enjoyed watching the abundant wildlife, and making friends with the chippies. We enjoyed the historic photos, clearly this property has been beloved by generations - and for good reason. All in all, a great find. We look forward to returning!

Baycliff has everything you could possibly want in a vacation home. The view is spectacular. The location is convenient to everything you would want to do in Bar Harbor and Acadia. The owner, Kevin, communicates very well and gives great tips. The house has everything you will need. Our family stayed a week and loved every minute of our stay. After exploring and seeing the beauty of the area you get to come back to the house and enjoy the beautiful view. We hope to be able to go back some day! Thank you Kevin.

Beautiful house with an amazing view of the water! We saw lots of birds and a seal swimming by. The beds were very comfortable and the whole house was a cozy space to have Thanksgiving. We will definitely be back again. Kevin was very helpful and super responsive.

Baycliff was perfect for a relaxing vacation. The sunrises were breathtaking, the house had everything we could need, and it was a nice retreat from the Acadia crowds. Kevin was a great host, and we hope to visit again!

We enjoyed staying at Baycliff for our family vacation to Maine for the first time. It was conveniently located close to downtown Bar Harbor and Acadia National park. We were lucky to have been able to see the northern lights, seals, and a double rainbow off the back deck. Very clean and nice property we would love to come back again.

View of Bay was wonderful. Did see one seal chasing fish very cool also seen one deer walk across by deck. Very nice property close to Bar Harbor also.

Beautiful house and location. Very light well laid out house. Beautiful deck. Even our dog loved her stay there. We would definitely come back again.

Our vacation consisted of friends joining us for the first week and then family coming in to stay the second week. The house sits on Frenchman Bay which allowed for beautiful daily sunrises and the chance to watch the lobster boats check traps. The binoculars in the house were powerful and allowed us to view the rituals daily. The home is fully furnished, so whether you use the kitchen a lot or a little, every utensil we needed was available. Everyone commented on the comfort of the beds, great water pressure, and a stellar location requiring only a short drive to get to Acadia, downtown, and local restaurants. The area was very quiet since it sits off the highway and has multiple small roads to get out to walk without traffic if you have children or pets. We appreciated the AC availability, but only turned it on twice the entire 2 weeks. The property manager and local contact were prompt with communications.

We had a wonderful time in Bar Harbor. The house was beautiful- outstanding view of the water! The house had everything we needed and Acadia was stunning. I loved sitting on the deck and listening to the seagulls. memories to last a lifetime.
