Stayed Aug 2, 2025The house was clean, nicely decorated, and filled with natural light. The host met us on arrival and oriented us to the house and area, and Scott was responsive when we had difficulty with the WiFi. There were lots of thoughtful touches, such as hooks and shelving in each bedroom, toiletries, snacks, and a coffee/hot chocolate station.The yard and water views were lovely. We appreciated how calm and shallow Shannon Bay was for kayaking. While it was fairly grassy for swimming, the kids enjoyed floating in life jackets to avoid the grasses and balancing on the Lily Pad we rented. The single kayak was stable and great for exploring around Victoria Point and even over to Grape Island for more adventure. The yellow double kayak, however, was inflatable and felt more raft-like—wide, awkward to steer, and better suited to staying in the Bay.The fire pit was a nice bonus, and overall our stay was peaceful and very enjoyable.
