Beautiful, updated home right on the river. Full screened in porch was our favorite place! It was better than expected!

Lovely house with wrap-around porch facing the river. Close to RR tracks if that bothers some, but had a good time there despite the rain (which made the porch even better).

This is a wonderful property. While rustic it is immaculately clean and has a fabulous kitchen. The entertainment area in the loft is perfect. The back porch view of the river is amazing. The hosts are responsive. I can’t wait to return

Host replied promptly every time we communicated. The house is absolutely adorable and quaint. Very comfortable, full of personality. Feels like an old school river cabin, but with hot water, plumbing, and internet!There's a surprsing amount of room to sit around the table and use the kitchen bar as well. Also, two living areas, one upstairs and one down. The kitchen is super well stocked, and there are plenty of linens. The location is perfection. We would absolutely return to spend more time in the area, we were only there a short time so we went south to sandstone falls and then north to canyon rim. We will plan our next trip to the area around the availability of this house.

My family and I hope to return when we can stay longer and enjoy this beautiful property more! My grandsons loved the trains that came through. The screened porch is perfect for morning coffee and evening wine. Can’t say enough about it or the host! Amazing!!

Cute place in a good spot on the river. Trains will come through during the night, of course. Otherwise no complaints.

The home was very nice and spacious for 2 friends. The setting on the river was beautiful and we enjoyed beautiful weather. The proximity to the New River National Park was perfect. We kept very busy each day of our stay. The kitchen, baths, and bedrooms were all well stocked for our needs. It would have been nice to have a heads up as to the proximity of the train tracks. The trains that went straight through were not really an issue...kind of fun to see (and hear). Not sure if this is a usual event but 3 out of the 4 nights we were there a train was stopped on the tracks behind the house the entire night with its diesel engine running. That was sometimes difficult to ignore. If a person was a light sleeper, they would have been agitated. We ended up not needing the heat turned on but we couldn't figure out how to turn on the heater that was in-between the living and dining areas. The directions in the notebook were not clear and/or we couldn't figure out what was supposed to open on the heater??? Maybe a picture in the notebook or a label on the heater? We thank you for your timely communication regarding firewood (which we ended up not being able to use due to the fire ban - thank you to your neighbor for giving us this heads up) and check in information. Will definitely recommend your place (but with the warning about the trains) to friends/family. Thank you. Beth

Liked being on the river, beautiful view, close to new river gorge, would definitely stay again. No complaints.

Fantastic property, just what we were looking for to explore the New River Gorge with our pups!

We had a wonderful time. It's so quiet and peaceful there. The train was an extra perk. It was amazing to see how long some of them were. The river was a little high due to rains but it was nice to just sit and watch the geese bob down the water. Would definitely stay there again as it's located in the perfect spot to visit the many the states beautiful sights. Thank you so much for opening your home to us!
