Sandia Park, New Mexico
This beautiful 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom property has gorgeous views of Sandia Mountain and is conveniently located near plenty of hiking trails, Sandia Peak Ski Area, and Cibola National Forest. It's only a 20 minute drive from Albuquerque and a 55 minute drive from Santa Fe, and just 25 minutes away from the small artist town of Madrid with plenty of shops, eateries, and a pub. This property features a king bed in the primary bedroom, a queen bed in bedroom 2, two twin beds in the 3rd bedroom, and amenities like wifi and electric heating. Whether you're looking to explore the great outdoors or experience the local culture, this is the perfect spot for your stay!
The guests have access to the entire property.
The Sandia Knolls in Sandia Mountain has a true feeling of community where neighbors look after and support each other. There's a feeling of rural living with the benefit of 25 minutes from downtown ABQ.
Very close to Turquoise Trail. Well stocked Triangle Grocery is 10 minutes from the house. Easy drives to Sandia Peak Tramway and Ski Area, Salinas Pueblo Missions Ruins, Nuclear Museum, National Indian Pueblo Center and International Balloon Fiesta Museum, to name a few.

The homeowner and caretakers couldn’t have been more accommodating- would stay again!
The host was great to work with even when I had issues with confirmation, it was a quick response and he answered all of my questions. This place is a great place to stay and very comfortable when you are away from home.
My family and I stopped here as a halfway point while we moved to Utah and we had a great experience! I travelled with 6 people both a cat and a dog. We all fit comfortably! It’s about 20-30 minutes out from food sources so I’d suggest stopping ahead of time and bringing extra groceries of eating prior to. The house feels a bit hot throughout the day, but it cools down so much at night that it’s pretty comfortable with the fans provided. If you have a large vehicle like we did you’ll need to park alongside the edge of the road, but the property manager across the street was really helpful in guiding us through it! I’d definitely recommend this hidden gem!
There's little need to go to the groceries store for this place. One thing a lot of Vrbo properties lack is all the cooking essentials like olive oil or a variety of seasonings. This place keeps the kitchen ready to go! All you need is the produce. All the directions for check-in and check-out were very clear. I will warn any other families who keep their personal homes a cool 68 like we do that the wall unit does not reach the bedrooms. It took our family some getting used to. My only complaint is that we didn't get the extra day we wanted. I forgot to book the extra day we wanted when going through the initial booking process. I reached out as soon as I realized and we were informed the day was open so we went through Vrbo to request that day. After three days of waiting for approval for that day someone else booked it. We would have like to have had the extra day and time in the location to do some more exploring, but life happens and we still ended up having a great time. Next year I won't forget to book the extra day.
Nice quiet property with great views.
We truly enjoyed our (brief) stays at Sandia Knolls. It was our pit-stop (2X) on our trip between TX and CO, and it was everything we needed, and more. We wish we had more time to stay and enjoy the area and the property, but it was a quick in/out for us both going and coming. It's a great area, and was easy to access. We wanted a rental outside of ABQ (as we had theft attempts for our motorcycles and ATV we trailer on a few previous occasions), and we felt very safe and off the beaten path at Sandia Knolls. The home had all we could want - charming, comfortable, clean, and the listing was accurate in describing what we could expect. We found great BBQ about a 10-minute drive, as well as a grocery and gas station, which was really all we needed during this short stay. The home comfortably slept my wife, and 2 adult sons, and our two pups. That's the only negative I would alert travelers with pets, is there is quite a bit of difficult terrain/landscape in NM (not unique to this property...everywhere), so you need to be prepared to remove stickers and burrs from your pet's paws and coat, and not advised to let them roam freely. But as far as Sandia Knolls, we'd re-book in a heartbeat, and were thankful for this lovely home to stop-over in. Hope to be back next Summer on our annual trip to CO.
Spacious home tucked away up in the mountains, I would recommend this vacation getaway. The owners provide just about everything you need, which is not always the case with other homes I've stayed in. It's a bit out of the way with lots of small windy roads leading you there, but that's exactly what we were looking for. There was a little snag with getting the check-in details in advance, but the owner was incredibly responsive, and everything was taken care of in time for arrival. I would definitely stay here again.
The house is very well appointed. Everything you may need is there and then some. The view from the deck is awesome. The caretakes, who are very nice, live close bye and if there are any problems they are right there to help you however we had no problems. Everything about this house is first rate and I would highly recommend it.
We had a wonderful time at this beautiful property. It is a great place to relax with your family. The views are amazing and there were so many sweet touches that made this stay so memorable. 100% recommend!!!
Very nice space for our family to stay. Beautiful location, great distance between Albuquerque and Santa Fe. Well furnished and stocked kitchen. Thank you.
Quiet and secluded. Best advice is to arrive in daylight. Well stocked kitchen with spices, pots and pans for any cooking you want to do. The muffins the host left for us were delicious. Bedrooms and baths are very nice. The layout is perfect for a family. We were looking for a nice place in the Albuquerque area and we found it!
We really liked the house and neighborhood. The house was just as described, comfortable and adorably decorated. The hosts were so kind and thoughtful. We wished we could have stayed a few more days.
This home was beautiful, in a quiet area. My boys enjoyed air hockey and the property hosts were amazing. They checked on us and left us a very sweet card and treat. We will definitely be staying again if we are in the area.
Great stay, great location, very clean and effortless to stay in contact with owner. The neighbors were great as well! We would stay here again.
Great Place. The house was as described. I would give the house a 5 Stars. It had everything that we needed.
Place was perfect for the weekend. No problem or issue.
My family loved Oscar’s house and we enjoyed our stay. The covered patio and outdoor patio were the best part for us. Nice mountain view from the patio. Will definitely stay again at this house.
This was a great house to stay in. Very quiet neighborhood. This is a very relaxing house. It felt very welcoming. We met the caretaker and she is a very sweet lady. This is a very well-equipped house, had everything that was needed. Including some delicious pastries to welcome the guest! Hopefully we will return soon. Thank you for a great stay!!
Very friendly and helpful, and they left treats and breakfast for us for the next day. Highly recommend!
