The property has a perfect layout and is in a good condition. The owner is very accommodating for everything.

Ian’s place is great. It is close to town, spacious, convenient yet secluded, and we had numerous moose come through the yard while we were eating breakfast in the living room.

What a delightful cabin in beautiful surroundings! Had a perfect stay at Ian's property as a party of four adults and a child. The house has the most comfortable beds and the best amenities. The best part is the location, only 10 minutes from Seward harbor, and yet secluded. We made a campfire, spotted moose and rabbits on the property, and enjoyed the views of the creek just 10 steps out of the backyard. Ian was a communicative and generous host. I recommend this stay to anyone visiting Seward- it will only make your trip better.

This was one of the most beautiful properties I have stayed at. It's well integrated into nature and encapsulates the spirit of wild Alaska. The cabin was plenty spacies with two bedrooms, a very well stocked kitchen (utensils and appliances) even for 6 people, a commodious living area and a lovely porch. The house has a huge backyard and easy access to a creek with sweeping views of all the mountains around the cabin. Ian was very thoughtful to leave a lot of extra sheets, towels, cleaning supplies, coffee pods, bear spray, fruits and even a bottle of wine! Ian was also generous to share his personal stock of firewood that allowed us to have a lovely campfire in the yard. We didn't have any issues with a wifi as well. Scott was super communicative and responded promptly and left a of suggestions for a variety of local activities and attractions prior to the trip. Overall we had a fantastic experience staying at the Alska View Lodge and I can't recommend it enough.

The owner was so nice to give us tips on best hikes, favorite restaurants, what to see in the area. He left us a bottle of wine with a personal note!

This lodge are so lovely, clean, beds are comfortable, kitchen has lots things to use. Owner is so nice, helpful and the gifts make us so forgettable. I will recommend this house to my family and friends.

What an amazing place to stay in Seward and an amazing host! When we arrived, the exterior of the house looked like a plain-looking house you would find anywhere in Alaska. This was not the case when we stepped inside for the first time. The house is spacious, clean, cozy and well decorated. The kitchen is also well stocked. The house has two bathrooms which is perfectly sufficient for a family (and I liked its shower head so much that I just placed an order from AMAZON to get one for my home!). The living room has a lot of space, and there was an easy access to the backyard, which consists of a few benches and a firepit. Our host, Scott, provided many amenities, from firewood, to games and books. In addition, communication with him was phenomenal - he provided a lot of useful information about Seward and its vicinity well before our arrival, and he was very responsive to my endless questions for travel/hiking recommendations. Highly recommended! Seward is such a beautiful and interesting place that I certainly will go back again in future, and I will look for staying at Scott's property without any hesitation.

Our favorite stay in Alaska. The cabin was very spacious for 4 adults and the full kitchen made it super easy to make meals. Was only about 20 minutes to downtown where all the restaurants and tours are based. There wasn’t much of a view since there are trees and shrubs, but it’s still very peaceful and you can take the pathway at the back of the property to the creek.

We originally wanted to stay in Seward, but found this place. It was a great choice. Very close by to everything we needed to access. We went to Exit Glacier, Seward, and Millers Landing. Very well taken care of, all the little things...night lights, scissors, strainer, all kitchen necessities. It was perfect! Thank you!

Really fantastic property. Lots of wildlife around, we had two moose in the backyard at dusk and several fluffy bunnies. The house was perfect for our family of 5. Beds were comfy, laundry room was big and better than what we have at our home. There’s a path to the river behind the house that we explored. Ian communicated lots of helpful info and was a great host. Whenever we come back to Seward, we will definitely stay here again!

Clean, quiet, comfortable and well stocked

This property worked perfectly for our family. The layout of the home is very nice and allows for privacy. The interior finishes are very nicely done. The bedding and linens were soft and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and the dish ware, cookware and utensils were brand new. The home is very clean. We hope to stay with you again.

Amazing property and home!

One of our favorite experiences in our two week trip. Loved the attention to detail, including the fresh flowers and the already built and ready to be lit kindling in the fire pit. The little walk to the river bed was great for views . We'd stay get again.

Cozy and welcoming! All needed items available. Close enough to seward but out enough to feel by yourself, neighborhood was quite and felt very safe to walk with children. Gorgous mtn/river views. So happy we stayed here!!

Beautiful remodeled home! Close to Seward, Exit Glacier, boat and outdoor tours. The kitchen had everything well stocked. Wildlife outside the window! Would totally stay here again!

We stayed at the Alaska View Lodge for four nights while in Seward with my wife and three adult children and had a great time. The location is wonderful - 5 minutes to Seward makes it close to all of the activities there, but removed enough to feel out on your own a bit as well - out enough we got to watch a mama moose and her two calves grazing right in the backyard - amazing! We also saw salmon a five minute drive away at the Salmon Weir. Very clean, well stocked (in fact, extremely well stocked!) kitchen - how many VRBO's have a meat thermometer? Beds are great, two full bathrooms are also great. Great communication, very helpful host with suggestions for the area etc. We would definitely stay here again if we return to Seward and it were available. Great stay, great host, great property, great location!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The house was well equipped and very comfortable. We enjoyed the comfortable seating on the porch and used the picnic table often.

We loved our stay here away from the summer hustle of Seward. Ian was very communicative and provided excellent recommendations. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything needed to cook and we appreciated being able to use the washer/dryer and wood stove, which included plenty of wood ready to use. Highly recommend Ian’s home for anyone visiting Seward. We would definitely return!
