Aesthetically Elegant Downstairs Unit in Oakland

The host was delightful. He was available if needed. Bed was comfortable. I told the host it would be great to have a full length mirror. I was dressing for an event and could only see myself in the bathroom mirror. The space had a musty/stale odor. The neighborhood was upscale, safe and picturesque.

Quiet, clean

We travel almost every year to different state and stay in different properties all over the USA and Europe. By far, this is one of the best if not the best!!!The apartment is cozy and has positive vibes. We stayed for a month and we enjoyed every single day in this beautiful place which felt so much like home! The owner is a kind man with appreciation to diversity! He was like a neighbour you have known for years. He is an Artist and paintings on the walls provide warmth and comfort. The owner and the property management check on us every now and then. Our needs were met in a timely fashion. They made sure we are happy! Indeed we were happy and left with memories to cherish lifetime ! Thank you all so very much!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I had renovations done in my house that required me to stay elsewhere, so I found this place. The apartment was clean, easy to get to and get around, and it has a great kitchen and bathroom. I especially liked the neighborhood, which was quiet, lovely, and with easy access to freeways, shopping, restaurants, entertainment, etc.

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It began while trying to check in when it was dark and raining. The code was not correct. Had to contact rental agency (which was a call center) and wait again for a call back for a new code. I have stayed at this property a few times before and have had similar problems: dirty pans, not enough bath towels, no kitchen towels, only two small ends of toilet tissue, blanket found under the bed, no mirror lights or the heat lamp functioning in bath, other lights in kitchen burned out. These all seem like maintenance issues the My VR Host should be responsible for. Is the property owner aware of the issues? It is my opinion that he is not getting his money's worth. And for the amount I paid to stay I don't think I got my value either. I would prefer not to rent through a middleman (company) in the future but directly with Airbnb.

He was playing piano late and talking which was easily heard and kept me up.
