A Unique Vacation Rental Overrun By Pennies! Walk To Everything In Town!

Pure delight.

Comfy, cozy house decorated with the owners original art, situated overlooking an eccentric little town. The amenities saw to all our needs with a few extra gracious touches. The enclosed yard was a treat for our dogs who loved running up the stairs doing a turn around the loft, back downstairs, out the front door, around the deck, and back in the opposite door. I especially enjoyed the chorus of bird songs morning and night. It was a pure delight staying here.

This was the most creative, artistic vrbo we have ever stayed in. We spent the first hour or so looking at the artwork as if we were in a museum. It was clean and cozy too. We loved the outdoor spaces on every side of the home. We sat out on the deck and listened to the live music from the restaurant on the next block over. Dan and Miriam checked to make sure we got there safely and even left us a bottle of wine and chocolate for our anniversary. We hope to return and enjoy the vibe of the house and town of Madrid.

Amazing stay with our pups! Very thoughtful hosts greeted us with goodies for them and a bottle of wine!Our dogs loved roaming the yard and we felt very secure they could not get out as it is fully fenced. They even have a dog crate!The mountain views are gorgeous and being able to walk everywhere around Madrid was a treat. We had a very comfortable stay!

Loved staying here! Couldn't ask for anything more at the house. Very clean and well appointed. We arrived and there were treats and toys for the pups and a bottle of wine for us. Town is just a very short walk. Loved it! We'll stay again if we are in the area!

This house was just perfect. Right in the middle of Madrid, walking distance to several great shops and restaurants. We enjoyed breakfast on the patio, listening to birdsong and taking in the mountain views. Even though we didn't travel with pets this time, we admire the accommodations that these hosts make available for travelers with pets. And the artwork! Goodness, staying here is like sleeping in your own private art gallery. The hosts are very talented artists.We had a tremendous stay. Thank you!

Super cute and clean. Very pup friendly and our boys thoroughly enjoyed exploring the safe fenced in yard. Well equipped and they left treats for the pups too. The town is off the beaten path but very quiet and calm.

This house was truly amazing! The hosts provided so many things, and it really made us feel at home. I’ve never been to a Vrbo that really thought of every single thing! They left treats for our puppy and wine for us as a welcome gift!The house has a great backyard, and is truly dog friendly. Everything is fully fenced and we didn’t see any open spots or issues! The doggy door was such a help, even though it took our girl a little time to use it!The town of Madrid is so cute. We spent a full day exploring Madrid and Cerrillos. Highly recommend! If you’re considering the Santa Fe/Albuquerque area, choose the Copper Penny House!

I have nothing but good things to say about this home & the owners. It’s a beautiful house in an incredible little town. My dogs loved the big yard. I really appreciate the warm welcome— especially for my dogs. They were really excited. The bed is really comfy & there weren’t insane rules about pets on the furniture— just use the covers provided and be respectful. The view is really nice & I was only a thirty minute drive from Santa Fe. Tavern and coffee spot were delicious. I am a young woman traveling with just my two dogs and I felt really safe. Thanks so much!

Love to find gems to stay in and this penny covered house was amazing! From the comfy bed. To all that was needed for places to sit on the deck read a book or just sit in the quiet. Thank you for the small touches like wine. The place across the street had good food, drinks and music. We hope to be back again soon!

We loved our stay at the Copper Penny in Madrid, the owners are so welcoming and great with communication. Everything you need is provided and even extras such as dog treats for our pup. The views are amazing and we spent a lot of time outside

We stopped in Madrid halfway through a cross country road trip. We loved the town and were able to easily explore both Albuquerque and Santa Fe on our stopover. The town has many art galleries and restaurants and even though we were there on Sunday, there was live music all afternoon and early evening. The house itself is delightful- fantastic use of small space and packed with thoughtful amenities and interesting artwork and furnishings. The bed was very comfy, great water pressure in the shower, WiFi connection was smooth. After several days in hotels, we were ready to make a few meals and we found everything that we needed in the kitchen. For us the very best part was that our dogs could explore within the safety of a completely fenced in yard. They had a blast and our hosts had lots of amenities for them, too! We really can’t say enough nice things about our hosts: from the very accurate description of the house, great communication plus there was no burdensome list of chores to do at check out. You can tell that they put a lot of effort into making this home special. A+++ 5 star hosts for sure.
