Vashon, Washington
On a quiet cul-de-sac sits a gorgeous private home–a newly renovated 1912 farmhouse and guesthouse–with Quartermaster Harbor as its backdrop. This is fine example of luxury living with excellent craftsmanship throughout. The home boasts extended waterfront views from every room, well manicured gardens, wraparound porch with lots of comfortable seating to enjoy the breathtaking water views, a fully equipped gourmet kitchen with Wolf oven/range, a fireplace, and full laundry facilities. Everything in this home is impeccable, from the fine finishes to designer touches. This charming inviting home is also just a 5-minute walk to Jensen Point, where one can enjoy kayaking, paddle boarding, and hiking, or head into the township of Burton to mingle with the locals at The Burton Coffee Stand or dine at new local restaurant Lucy's.
Fantastic everything
This is our second time staying in this amazing home , and we will be back !! Beautiful view , very clean and well stocked . The fire place was perfect for this ideal setting and warmth .
This is our second year we visit. The host is super and the place has very nice Feng shui. Love it.
Another great stay at this perfect spot!
Perfect
We really enjoyed being there. So much so that we didn’t want to go anywhere else. The place is very conducive to just relaxing and enjoying the wonderfully quiet and beautiful water views. Great sunsets and sunrises.
This house is really gorgeous, the location is fantastic, very peaceful and convenient-- easy walk to small grocery, coffee stand, Burton Peninsula/Forest and to beach areas. It was immaculately clean and well set up. The home is very gracious and tasteful, yet not fussy. It was a real pleasure to be surrounded by so much beauty and nice things. Fresh flowers were a wonderful touch! And that porch! I could not get enough of that porch. The fire pit set up is also divine, but info on how/where to get wood would be helpful for visitors who don't have family or friends on the island to clue them in. The kitchen is well-equipped and a pleasure to cook in (ground coffee and half and half greatly appreciated!), though there isn't much space to store any food except in the very nice fridge. There is a pantry area, but the shelves are full of displayed items. Overall, storage and lighting were the drawbacks of this rental with almost no drawers or shelves (plentiful hanging options only), towel bars, bedside lamps (we are all avid bedtime readers and consider this essential) and some dark corners indoors. Bedrooms and views are gorgeous. The king bed is unfortunately in the Lille Hus which was our least favorite aspect, though it was a very comfy bed. It is a well-appointed space, but a bit of a pain to go back and forth--and up and down as well. You really need to be aware that you will likely be leaving your stuff downstairs as there is a very steep stair to get to the loft. We used the table and sofa downstairs for our clothes and there is literally no place to set anything in the small bath. Head's up for fragrance sensitive people (which we are not) that there were strongly scented products in the house--candle burning when we arrived, scented soaps, garbage bags and laundry detergent.
Pattie was very pleasant, responsive and the house/guest house was adorable. It had everything that we needed which was a huge relief for travelers that don’t want to have to pack up every little last thing for a quick getaway. The only thing I couldn’t find (and maybe it was there) was a cocktail shaker! Beautiful views. Comfortable accommodations. We will definitely be back.
Loved the place.
The location of the house was amazing. Everything was beautifully decorated and clean. The house had everything we needed and more. We plan on coming back again to stay in the wonderful home. Thank you so much Pattie for opening your home to us, it was truly a relaxing and amazing vacation our family will remember for years to come!!!
