A spectacular space for every season-in winter a real skier's destination!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our recent trip made for our fourth consecutive year at Lost River Lodge! This home could not be in a better location. We love the ability to ski in and out, soaking in the hot tub slope-side, and the easy access by vehicle (although AWD/4WD is recommended). A few members of our group enjoyed the new gym and spa this year which is just a couple of minutes away as well. This home is the ideal space for our group. This year, we had 13 adults and 5 children under age 2. The ground level features three bedrooms with queen beds, two full bathrooms, two twin beds tucked into the hallway, and an additional living room space (although this space is rarely used for us and would probably function better as an additional bedroom if such renovations could be made). The main floor features a large bedroom with a king bed and attached full bathroom, a laundry room/mud room, half bath, fully equipped kitchen, large kitchen table, and a large living room area with ample seating, a gas fireplace, and big windows to watch skiers pass by. The main floor also provides easy access to the hot tub and slopes. Upstairs features two king bedrooms with attached full bathrooms, a room with two twin beds, a queen bedroom, and a full bathroom. We were able to get into our home by noon this year which was awesome! Management is always great to work with, and they are always very quick to respond to our needs. We have already booked our trip for next year and are looking forward to returning to our home away from home!

We had a wonderful stay! The host was excellent and very prompt with answers to any questions we had. The house was exactly as posted and very clean. We highly recommend staying there and we look forward to coming back!

The house was perfect for all of us. Clean and had everything we needed. The top shelf of the dishwasher was broken but we made it work . Very good location. My only complaint is there is no air conditioning on the upper level which made for uncomfortable sleeping for the ones that slept there. With taste being said if I stay here again it will only be in the cooler months.

I ended up calling them a couple times during our visit for minor things and the response was prompt, professional and friendly. They genuinely didn’t seem bothered by my calling to ask how to turn on the flood lights, to check the hot tub and to collect trash. Will definitely rent from them again! The kitchen was well equipped with a fancy Keurig combo machine, a traditional coffee pot, a crock pot, blender, pots & pans and plenty of dishes. They even supplied hand soaps, toilet paper in each bathroom and a full set of towels for each bed! One thing I didn’t notice till I arrived is there are actually 2 twin beds in the basement “hallway.” From the pictures I thought there was one. Plenty of space for our teenagers to spread out on their own floor! The only thing I didn’t give 5 stars to is the condition of the house as it is showing signs of wear which is to be expected. We have already booked again for next year.

Very nice house with everything we needed plus extras

This home needs a good deep cleaning, blinds are dusty, table trestle is dusty, the kitchen floor needs refinishing, baking cookware is worn out, all light switches are dirty, outside stairs and railing needs refinishing, light bulbs are out, water pressure on upstairs showers are weak and as for heat and a/c downstairs is really really cold, upstairs is really hot and main floor has closest to the correct temperature. That being said, it is well furnished, has multiple coffee pots, plenty of dishes and silverware, wonderful gas stove, two refrigerators and although the kitchen refrigerator ice maker is broken, the laundry room fridge’s ice maker works. Bed linens were nice. I think a good addition would be to provide liquid shower soap in every shower rather than little soaps. Same with hand soap, liquid soap—it would not make such a mess as the little soaps do. As a former VRBO owner of a big house in Lake Tahoe that slept 25, I found going spring and fall for the “big clean” helped keep the maintenance issues under control. Also, for the price paid, I think two rolls of toilet paper is cheap and two rolls of paper towels also. I never made my guests have to pay for paper products or shower soap. This was a family wedding event that turned out to be two hours away from the house. We liked being all together.

We've always enjoyed enjoyed our stay, and this year was no exception. We've booked again for summer '25, and look forward to it already. The house comfortably fits our 8 couples. The house is beginning to show a little bit of minor wear though, but nothing serious.

The cabin was rented for a ladies only group retreat we stayed 3 nights and the cabin was very spacious throughout and plenty of great outdoor space on the deck ad well.
