Banner Haus is located just a two-minute walk from downtown Banner Elk, where you'll find local restaurants, shops, galleries, and seasonal events right at your doorstep. Sugar Mountain is only a five-minute drive away, while Beech Mountain is about 10 minutes away, making it easy to enjoy skiing and snowboarding in the winter and hiking, mountain biking, and other outdoor activities in the warmer seasons. Grandfather Mountain, the Blue Ridge Parkway, Valle Crucis, and the towns of Boone and Blowing Rock are also within easy reach.
This charming mountain house serves as a cozy home base for exploring the High Country. The open main level features integrated living, dining, and kitchen areas around a stacked-stone gas fireplace, plus a deck overlooking the wooded surroundings. The main-level primary bedroom has an ensuite bathroom, and the loft and lower level offer additional sleeping space. Downstairs, a comfortable den with a sofa also includes a dedicated workspace and a queen-size bunk bed for extra sleeping arrangements.
The kitchen includes drip and Keurig coffee makers, a toaster, and a blender. Each bathroom includes a hair dryer, and you'll find an iron and ironing board for your convenience.
Step outside to unwind in the hot tub or gather around the gas fire pit after a day in the mountains.
With cable TV, you can easily enjoy a quiet evening indoors. Please note that Banner Haus is a no-pets property. During winter months (October through March), we strongly recommend using a 4-wheel or all-wheel-drive vehicle, and chains may be necessary in icy or snowy conditions.
Whether you walk downtown, hit the slopes, or spend the day exploring the picturesque mountains, Banner Haus offers convenient access to all the fantastic experiences the High Country has to offer.
