A Captains Cottage oceanfront 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom

We had no problems staying here last year but this year was a different story. We had no hot water but Chris from Maintenance was prompt to look at the tank. He said he would let the owner know that it was either the elements or thermostat and that he would contact us the next day regarding service. He got it working enough that if we staggered showers (3 of us) it stayed hot. Then the freezer thawed and intermittently froze back. Luckily we lost no food. Then the fire alarm started going off intermittently. Good location but frustrating situation this year.

Excellent location and size for our annual girls trip. This was the first trip to Holden Beach for all of us and we were all favorably impressed! The only thing that was a negative was that at all of our stays in FL or Hilton Head beaches, the linens were provided and sheets on the beds and beach chairs were available where this is not the case with this rental!

A very nice house in a private, gated community. We enjoyed a quiet, week-long vacation with another couple. The house was clean, the kitchen very well appointed (we did a lot of cooking), plenty of room inside and outside on the decks/porches, and the beach was beautiful. --- The back deck furniture was sturdy and comfortable, with some of it under an overhang, so we could enjoy afternoons outside. Other than a few minor housekeeping items which I reported via email, all was well! Great place!

The location was great. It was in a gated area that was very quiet. I was finishing some work projects and was able to really concentrate. the beach access is easy and the back deck is really an appealing feature!

Perfect beach cottage for a classic beach vacation. Clean, comfy, and peaceful. It just felt good to be there. Thank you!

The little house on the block, we had just what we needed for a peaceful getaway with my teenagers. Easy access to the uncrowded, pristine beach, behind the gate on a residential island. Lots of porches for us to spread out for reading and relaxing. We even had a tropical storm go over while we were there (missed one day of the week to rain) and the house barely moved in the wind. Kitchen was well equipped and fully functional. Thanks for hosting a great stay!

Washer and dryer are in the basement. Walkway to beach ends and have to walk between dunes to get to beach. All that to say just in case renters have difficulty walking long distances or climbing stairs. Overall very homey and comfortable beach house with beautiful oceanfront view!
