A beautiful view and lots of extras too! Super affordable lodging!!

Best of Canaan was incredibly responsive every step of the process. They went above and beyond to help when our car got stuck in the snow. The house was clean, cozy, and spacious. The neighborhood was so quiet you would have no idea there were houses full of people. The area is convenient to both Canaan and Timberline, making our fun outings easy even in the snow. We enjoyed our stay immensely and plan to return. Note about this particular house: please be aware the upstairs is a furnished loft and is not safe for young children. We kept our child with us at all times and advise all guests do the same.

Great house near the base of Timberline Mountain. Quiet, very clean and cozy environment. Been going to this area for several years to ski and this was one of the best spots we have stayed.

Well, I highly recommend CR Mountain Home as the perfect location to explore and hike the Canaan Valley region. A superior golf course is 10 minutes away, you're 20 minutes from Davis and 25 from Blackwater Falls and Thomas. This property is perfect - two baths and 3 full bedrooms. The master suite has a new mattress, the fireplace, grill and hot tub are ready to enjoy. A new outdoor bench with gas-powered fire pit faces the sunset. The property is in superior condition, well-maintained and within 20 minutes of Cafe Milo and Sirianni's in Davis...also the local coffee shop is really great. This is a great place to stay! Highly recommend using Best of Canaan as your rental agency - they are warm, helpful and will do everything to accommodate extensions and emergencies. Best of all, their prices are WAY below the on-line services most use!

Only suggestion I have is that there needs to be a guide on how to use the AC unit. We could not figure it out, but fortunately it did not get too hot, so we were ok. Last year when we stayed at Paradise Falls, we had the same experience. Instructions would be helpful. Thank you!

Kitchen is stocked properly and beds are comfortable enough.Only downside is that the hottub has not worked for 2 years (it works but does not go above probably mid-90s, even though the temperature gage on the tub will tell you it is maxed out at 104). Kind of a bummer. Wish they would fix it, as we're certainly not the the only people who mentioned this and desire it for use while staying.
