We are Premier Hosts of another vrbo property in the Poconos (PoconosLogCabin Valhalla see #2184594)

Waterfall Chalet was new to VRBO (Jan 2021) but has an excellent rental history since we purchased it in 2019 and we then added it to vrbo in 2021.

Review from Chris O 12/27 - 12/29/20 Had a great time with my wife and 3 small children as well as some friends with their young children. The house was big enough for both families, and the large property was perfect for them to play and explore. We also had skiing lined up at Jack Frost and the location....2 miles down the road, was really convenient (which is important when you have small kids!). We usually don't like big crowds, especially in this environment, so this was a perfect holiday escape. Owners were super attentive to our questions and needs, so honestly could not have asked for more, other than some more snow! Will definitely stay here again.

The property is absolutely beautiful. The cabin is very spacious and has a balcony which was great for hanging out on. The backyard is also big which was great for grilling and chilling. Lance & Lisa were awesome to work with and made everything very easy. We all had such a great time here during our stay and would recommend to anyone for any kind of vacation!!

If we weren't exploring the stream and forest, then we were using the fire pit to make s'mores. The house is just as cozy as Poconos Log Cabin said it was but it had plenty of room for our entire family. We will definitely be back!

Located in the heart of the Poconos, where the PA Turnpike (NE Ext) and Interstate 80 intersect, we are an easy 1.5 hour drive from Philadelphia, New York and New Jersey. Nestled on 8 private acres, you are surrounded by nature for walking, biking, hiking, fishing , white water rafting, golf, skiing, paintball, zip lining and so much more!

Waterfall Chalet sits on 8 private acres in the Poconos just 2 miles from Lake Harmony, Francis E Walter Reservoir and Jack Frost ski mountain. You will enjoy relaxing on our deck overlooking the stream! Watch and hear the stream from the deck. Bring your bicycles as the Lehigh Gorge State Park is close - ride 26 miles from end to end (White Haven to Jim Thorpe). Enjoy a picnic lunch, views of the river and many waterfalls along the way!

The cabin also has a wood-burning fireplace in the living room, a Pool Table and Bar in our finished basement and an outdoor fire pit, a gazebo by the water, lawns for games and a charcoal grill! And best of all - No Neighbors!

Most of the rental houses in the Poconos are located in housing developments controlled by Homeowner Association. Our cabin is NOT in a development! We have no neighbors worried about you, ready to report you. You will feel secluded in the woods, but you are also just a short drive from town for all the things you might need.

Activities:
Lehigh River Gorge State Park - it's perfect for walking, biking, fishing, tubing, and rafting. The park contains 4,548 acres of land and about 30 miles of the Lehigh River. Recreational opportunities include: hiking, biking, hunting, fishing, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, and whitewater boating. About 26 miles of abandoned railroad grade follow the river and are available to hiking and biking and provide access for hunting and fishing. Whitewater rafting is a major attraction of the park. This section of the Lehigh River is Class III whitewater and is popular for rafting, kayaking and canoeing.

Hickory Run State Park: The 15,500-acre Hickory Run State Park, has over 40 miles of hiking trails, three state park natural areas and miles of trout streams. You must visit Boulder Field, a striking boulder-strewn area which formed 15,000 years ago! It is a National Natural Landmark.

We recommend our guests plan a day of swimming at their lake. It has a sand beach and concession areas, bathrooms and bar-b-q areas. It is open from late-May to mid-September.

Fishing:
Francis E Walter Reservoir - stocked for trout fishing, with a variety of other native fish. Motor boats (1 hp max) allowed, also great if you have kayaks and inner tubes!

The Lehigh River has warm-water game fish, trout and panfish. You can walk to the river from the house! Francis E. Walter Dam, just above White Haven, provides boating and angling for trout and warm-water game fish. All local State Parks have lakes & streams for fishing.
