reception by Maryse, warmly, the language was unfortunately a bit difficult at times, both for us and Maryse, but to refresh our French again, have a nice chat. Cottage was neat and fully equipped. A bit decorated from earlier times, but therefore charming. Environment as promised fantastic for walking with our 2 dogs, walking directly from the major different routes. Gérardmer very nice to stay. We also went to the highest point in the Vosges, le grand ballon.Very worth it. We enjoyed it very much and will definitely come back.

Despite the rain, we had a really comfy and enjoyable stay in this nice house. You have to enjoy making fires though (as we do!) to keep you warm in winter times. As far as the area is concerned: we have seen more of the Alsace than of Vosges, since the weather was slightly better there. Maybe we’ll see more of it another time!
