The space
Set for July 1st grand opening!
As of this weekend, the renovation is 70% done. I will add some pro pictures here by April 28th weekend to get a feel of what this looks like.

The lower level is currently unfinished and ask that guests stay out - except for garage to access games. Next year a 4th BR, 3BA, and game room will be added pending interest this year in bookings.
Master bedroom will have a king bed
Oversized bedroom will have 2 queens
Standard bedroom room will have queen and bunk beds (Have not purchased bunk bed yet, pending interest)
Home will have a large TV in living room and Starlink internet.
Deck out back is about 350 sq ft and will have griddle and outdoor furniture.
In ground pool will be ready to go by late May.
Looking for guests who like to visit every year. New to short term rentals and want to try to make your experience something very memorable! Experienced in long term rentals. This is my second home I will be at a lot and when I’m not there I want to open it to you!
The house is 54 years old. With that - this is not some ultra modern new place for $5000 a week. It has minor flaws, which build character :)
This is a large oversized split level that has age and is being restored. That being said - the idea of this entire place is for you to be OUTSIDE and enjoy the entire property. There are nicer houses out there that are FAR more expensive if you just want to stay inside of a house all week. I’m not trying to compete with them. Not what I’m selling. This is a gem in that the total package of the size of house, sleeping capabilities, pool, creek, yard, wildlife, hiking, open areas, access to finger lakes, deck, access to lake, fire pit- will be an experience that transforms you. That being said - everything that can be upgraded has been - all shiny new appliances, brand new beds, bathroom fixtures, pex water lines, etc. .
I want people that rent this out to come back every year for the next 20 years. With that - revenues will be going to maintaining and upgrading property. Each year, there should be nice improvements!
Other things to note
Email me if you want to see the web page that I created for this. Vrbo doesn't allow it posted.
This property is being marketed to a lot of different types of types of guests:
- family - bring your oversized family or book with another family to split costs. Explore the pool. Hike the property. Splash in the creek! Collect kindling for a fire to make hot dogs over it.
- guys long weekend! Go shooting nearby. Drink expensive booze by the fire pits. Cook up steaks over the fire on the 20” cast iron. Go fishing at the lake 1 mile away. Take an Uber to Corning for bar hopping at the breweries. Cook smash burgers on the skillet. Hang out by the creek with coffee or beer
- gals long weekend. Lounge by the pool away from the hubby and kiddos and sip wine by the fire. Order a limo for a wine tour.
- hunting trips. Deer on the property. Sporting clays 15 mins away. Large striped bass in the nearby lake with Muskies. Do the nearby hunting excursions and bag a nice boar and store it in the chest freezer.
Parts of the property are steep. Due to this, the pool, and the nature of the animals in the area I would not recommend children under 7 or 8. Judgment call on your part, but I have children and feel caution under 7 should be used. This is a large, large property and is in the wild of nature.
Also - there is a path down to the creek and it is also a little steep. Those who are elderly, have bad knees, or cannot do easy/moderate level hiking are not advised to go down to the creek.
Given this is northern PA with wildlife around - there are possibilities of bear, deer, snakes, wild turkeys, and other local wildlife. While bear and snakes may not be common, guests are reminded that this is not the suburbs and should exercise caution. Walk with others, do not put headphones in and lose ability to hear surroundings, be careful with fire pits, and be aware of your surroundings.
