My friends and I get together twice a year. This was our first trip to Lake Gaston. This fabulous house was great for 6 women for a weekend. The kitchen is well stocked. The view is lovely. Rosemont Winery is just a 5 to 10 minute drive and we recommend you try it. We loved the house.

The perfect vacation in the perfect home. If you have a large group, this home is it. Most spacious home we have stayed in yet and equipped so well. The basement is fabulous for evening entertainment with so much to do to keep all ages occupied. The outside area has ample seating areas and the covered deck is convenient if it sprinkles. There may be several stairs to the dock, but they are spaced out enough to make it an easier walk up or down. And if communication is important to you, you'll be impressed with the owners. Great timely communication.This is a home we will return to.

Beautiful place, wonderfully decorated, good communication from owner. But... we were disappointed to find out 6 days before our stay that towels were not provided! First time experience for us -- having no towels in a VRBO. With many from our crew flying in from out of state, this created a scramble for us to come up with enough towels for our large group. For the money we paid, we expected towels would be included. But overall the place is really nice, and we recommend it highly.

Omg this is the best vrbo home I've ever stayed in!! The house was so clean, well equipped, huge rooms and bathrooms, open concept for gatherings, beautiful decor especially for the holidays! Great communication with the owner. Beautiful home inside and out! We had a situation with a light and the door, contacted the owner and she was on it!!! I have no complaints! If you have not stayed in this house, you're missing out! A gem with beautiful veiws. I can go on and on about this home. Im glad i picked this house for me and my family to gather for Christmas . Thank you so much!! We will definitely book again

We had a great time at Live Edge Lodge with our group of four families! Everything was clean and well stocked, and there was plenty of space for everyone. Edie was also very responsive to anything we needed. Highly recommend!

Staying in this house with my friends was amazing!!! Our experience was excellent. The house is very clean and has everything a large group could need, the beds are very comfortable, Sufficient bathrooms and very spacious. and the amenities are great enough to enjoy by the lake. The kitchen is fantastic because it has everything necessary. Thank you to Edie for being an excellent super host and good communication. We had a fantastic time at Live Edge! The home is absolutely beautiful with attention to detail. The rooms are spacious and the beds very comfortable. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. The home’s decor, the fire pit, and the dock added to the relaxing week! We loved the time we spent in the water near the dock and the kids loved the paddle boat and floating dock. We kayaked, used the paddle boards, and fished off the dock. We caught catfish, sunnies, wide mouth bass, and a rare bluegill. The owners are very responsive, and pleasant to rent from. We highly recommend Live Edge for a beautiful week on the lake Susan Althouse We hope to return!!

The house was beautiful. It accommodated a family of 15 easily. The host was pleasant, easy to contact, and quick responses. Great location on the lake. We had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend to a friend.

Loved the house. Big rooms and beds. Plenty of bathrooms.Large game room. Second kitchen was great. Outdoors had a big firepit and dock with alot of toys. Fantasy Lake is hour away. Also went to Rosemont. Edie Grassi was excellent.

This place was perfect. Our large group always struggles to find a place that works to sleep everyone and is separate enough so that when the babies are in bed the adults don't have to be silent. This house fits the bill. People on the top level cannot hear anything in the basement and vice versa. In addition the house was extremely well stocked. They thought of everything. We can't wait to come back next year.

We had a wonderful stay at Live Edge Lodge. The house is beautiful and very clean when we arrived. It was great for our 4 generation family with lots to do and areas for individuals to get away when desired. We look forward to coming again. We appreciated that there is a generator as it had to kick in twice when we had evening thunderstorms.

Was a great stay . House was perfect !!!

This place had everything we needed for a week of fun. We only left for pizza, ice cream and wine tasting. We spent our days enjoying the house and the lake. We had a range of ages. There was lots of room so we could spread out to talk, play games, rest or read a book in quiet all at the same time. We would definitely go back. The owner was always quick and helpful with responses.

Tons of space, everyone was able to get together for family time and also find their own quite place if they needed a break or to read.

Superb accommodation for a large family or group. Well stocked kitchen and many games. One surprise was a group fishing permit from the dock.

My father enjoyed his birthday cookout family dinner.It was perfect. The house has everything and we will be back.

My group of 7 had a wonderful time during our stay. The booking and check-in were seamless. We enjoyed the fire pit, fished off the dock, used the kayaks and paddle boat, played pooled, shot darts and cooked in both kitchens. The property was clean, well manicured, spacious and offered so many amenities that we were not able to take advantage of in our short 3 days there. We did have the opportunity to meet a few of the neighbors during our stay and all were friendly, especially the ones directly next door. This was my second time staying on Lake Gaston and I’m looking forward to a third. Edie’s (our host) communication was excellent throughout the entire process and much appreciated. I do recommend this property to anyone who wants a great value and comfortable stay.

Such a beautiful home right on Lake Gaston! The house was so clean and well-organized. Having the kayaks and paddle boards to use freely was a huge perk. The gorgeous deck and fire pit were perfect for our group of friends to hang out around!

We already booked a return trip - doesn't that kind of say it all?!Had a yoga retreat with 13 of us at this house and is the best! The layout is excellent. The house is well appointed. It had everything we needed.Being only a little over an hour away from Raleigh you would think it wouldn't feel like another world away, but it was quiet and serene and everything we could have asked for in a place.Edie is a gracious and very communicative hostess and, though we didn't need anything from her, was at the ready to help if we had. Lots of games and activities to keep busy too. We took the kayaks and a paddleboard out when the weather was nice enough to do so. We wanted to enjoy the fire pit but was the night before we left and just didn't have it in us - we did spend some time relaxing in thr Adirondack chairs down there during the day though.It really is a lovely, well designed, well suited home for a large group with all the conveniences and comfort to boot (even the beds were amazingly comfortable!). As mentioned before, we already have plans to return!

We had a large group mini Retreat, we had a great time and a great house to have it in. We will definitely be coming back if we plan another mini Retreat.

We had our annual couples retreat at Live Edge Lodge and it was amazing. Edie, the host, was very involved and ensured we had everything we needed. He responded to questions timely and the home was immaculate. Everyone enjoyed themselves and agreed the house aider in our great time.

The house is amazing! Plenty of space, all needed amenities are present, the space was spotless, and everything is in great shape. Edie communicated all details quickly and clearly. I would definitely stay here again.

This is a beautiful home and very accommodating for our family. It was way too cold for water sports, but we had everything we needed for a great time! Games, puzzles, foosball, pool, ping-pong, darts, fire pit. What a delightful weekend we had!! We hope to return next year.

Each year my family and I get together to celebrate Christmas. We picked this property because of the location, size and amenities. This house didn’t disappoint. From the house to the owner connection everything was on point and we are returning for a second year in 2025. If you are looking for a place please consider this property! 5 stars all the way!

House looks newly renovated, clean and well stocked. Right on the lake. We had no issues here. Great value, we would definitely consider this house when planning future visits to Lake Gaston.

We enjoyed this roomy, very clean, comfortable lake house. There were lots of activities to do at the house and we had so much fun being there. We played pool, foosball, lounged on the porch, played card games, swam in the lake, sat by the fire pit, and went kayaking. We can’t wait to go back soon.

We rent a lot of properties, and Live Edge Lodge was by far the nicest we have ever rented, bar none. The layout of bedrooms and bathrooms gave everyone privacy with a convenient bathroom either ensuite or very close by. Bathrooms were shared by no more than 2 bedrooms. The house is three levels with private bedroom areas on each floor. The bottom level offered lots of entertainment options that were separate enough that you could be loud and have fun without worrying about bothering others. There is space and a place for everyone, whether we wanted to find a quiet spot to read or nap, watch a movie with a group, play board games, or just chill together! The men in the group were especially impressed by the ice balls for drinks being dispensed in the downstairs refrigerator. The firepit had just been completed the day we checked in and we were excited to be the first to light a fire in it. Even the wood was provided! There's a beautiful dock on the water with a paddle boat, and kayaks, and life jackets are also provided and required. The owner Edie couldn't have been any more helpful or accommodating and was so great at answering questions or providing suggestions for dining, groceries, or whatever we needed. We couldn't have been any more happy and satisfied with this property. After lamenting that we wish we had had a few more days to stay, we started thinking about when we could possibly return as a group. You can't go wrong with this house!
