Stayed Nov 20, 2021This is a beautiful property but it is located at the top of a very steep hill and there is construction going on both above and next door. Obviously this is out of the owners control, but it did take away from the house. Constructions tractor drive up and down the dirt road outside the front door all day. Making for a difficult time in getting our rental car up the steep dirt road... Both the owner and the manager were very kind and tried to fix what they could... when construction is finished, this place will return to being the tranquil, jungle home with the amazing sunset views.

Stayed Jun 13, 2021A group of RNs and our partners finally were able to safely go on a beautiful and much needed vacation after the craziest year any of us have ever worked. The house was perfect and each couple had their own space (12) and were able to gather as wanted and needed. The town is beautiful and food was amazing. And the entire process of staying at Casa Agave was excellent. 5 stars!!!

Stayed Dec 23, 2019Great, secluded property away from the noise of town. We had a great stay at the home. It is at the top of a pretty steep hill. Golf carts were key to getting in and out of town and down the beach. Terrific views of town and the beach. We enjoyed our stay.

Stayed Aug 3, 2019My family and I visited August 3-10. The house was accurately portrayed online. So much space for a big family, we were able to feel like we weren't always sitting on top of each other. The views of the bay were amazing, the storms in the evening and watching the sun set over the water was truly magical. Would highly recommend golf carts, as the cars are a little more difficult to maneuver up the hills and on the dirt road when it is washed out.

Stayed Dec 21, 2018House was beautiful and well equipped. Lots of room and deck space to spread out for a large group. View and sunsets were stunning from all the decks but especially the roof top palapa. Heather is in town and very responsive to any questions. The only down side is the VERY steep hill to get to the house - walking to town is easy but even the fittest of the crowd had a tough time walking back home in the afternoon! Golf carts were helpful but can really only accommodate 3 going up....if we were to do it again we would probably just cab home - very cheap. Without the steep hill you wouldn’t have those amazing views so well worth the climb!!!

Stayed Jun 27, 2018We had visited Sayulita before and wanted to come back to stay. This house was perfect. The weather was very humid for the time of year but we spent most our time in the pool overlooking the gorgeous view, if we weren't down at the beach. The view of the surrounding jungle and beach town were amazing! The hill up to the house is steep but many days during our stay we didn't use a golf cart and instead walked down for exercise and took a taxi back up. On occasion when we needed groceries we rented a golf cart. The property owner, manager, and assistant were all very gracious and helpful in coordinating our trip. I highly recommend this house for any vacation!!

Stayed Mar 18, 2018We were a party of 14, including some small children, some preteens, and some adults. It was a great place to spread out. We all had enough of our own space to not feel like we were on top of each other, and the roof top deck was a huge bonus space and one of the favourite spots to catch an afternoon nap or watch the stars at night. The views from the house, and particularly from the roof top deck, were just breathtaking. Seeing the whole town from up there gave a great perspective on the area, and you could even see how the surf was on any given day! The house was clean and cared for, although there was a lack of dishes and cooking utensils that we mentioned to the host. They're putting it right for guests in the future, so no complaints there. We all enjoyed the pool as well as the time in the town. Renting golf carts was absolutely needed and so much fun. The kids all just wanted to go drive down the hill and around the town, and we did it all the time. The house's caregiver, Heather, was really easy to contact and ready to help with anything we needed. Anna, the woman who lives in the lower suite and cleans was very lovely, and had *almost* enough beach towels for us to each have one. (We were a really big party so we did a bit of sharing, which was fine.) Thanks so much to Theresa, Heather, Anna, for a wonderful week! We'll definitely recommend Casa Agave to friends and family.

Stayed Feb 5, 2018Celebrated a milestone birthday with nine women for a week. Plenty of space with the five bedrooms and five baths. Main and upper level bedrooms were spacious with incredible views. Upper level bathrooms had open air showers overlooking the ocean. Lower level bedrooms were referred to as the dungeon..best for privacy and late sleepers! The entrance from the lower level (housekeepers home) was a little creepy and we were caught off guard a couple times with someone stopping in to drop off towels, etc., at odd hours. Would recommend housekeeping use the front door. Very few bugs in spite of some of the prior reviews. We kept our food off the counters and had no issues. Pool was fairly small, but clear, clean, and perfect for our group to gather and cool off. Ana, the housekeeper, was very sweet and we hired her to cook a delicious Mexican Cuisine meal one evening and she even baked a beautifully decorated birthday cake. Heather, the property manager, was very helpful and responded quickly to requests for golf cart rentals, restaurants, and excursion referrals. Lots of gathering space to accommodate our group. Overall very clean and comfortable, only complaint regarding housekeeping would be the windows! With such gorgeous views being the highlight, owners should invest in regular window cleaning. Golf cart rental was a necessity with the steep hills leading up to the home. The town of Sayulita had a relaxed and friendly vibe, and we felt safe tooling around on our golf carts and exploring the beaches and shops. Meals in town were all tasty and quite inexpensive. Overall a great trip and a great experience.
