5 Bedroom 2nd Row Home with Heated Pool and Spectacular Marsh and Ocean Views

All was good

The location of this home is excellent, and the views are absolutely gorgeous. Unfortunately, the overall experience didn’t match the setting. The house smelled strongly of smoke, like an ashtray, which made it unpleasant to stay in. The grill was filthy and unusable without a deep clean, and the pool heater didn’t work properly, so the water stayed too cold to enjoy. Overall, the property felt below average for the price and didn’t meet expectations.

What a beautiful beach house! This home had everything we were looking for- 1 min walk to the beach, beautiful marsh views, a pool and enough rooms for everyone to spread out. The kitchen was fully stocked, lots of pool toys in the outdoor storage closet and convenient outdoor shower. This was our baby's first vacation and we are so glad that it was here, in holden beach! We had the best weather to enjoy the quiet spacious beach. The hosts responded immediately to all of my messages, even late at night when we couldn't figure out how to turn off an outdoor light! Great communication. We plan to come back next year!

This is our second stay at the Purple Porpoise and our family of 10 had a great vacation both times.Things we loved: Location, view, marsh, house design and outside spaces. Suggestions: Extra towels, fridge way too small for 10 people and ice maker was anemic and fridge took a long time to cool back down after loading it. A large salad bowl and some regular cookie sheets would be nice. Sharpen knives. One broken beach chair and a lounge chair by the pool needs replacing. None of these, except maybe fridge comments, are at all serious complaints. It's a great house.

Great common areas and bedrooms. The house had easy access to the beach and the pool was great in the evenings. Check-in and out was easy, house manager was very friendly and communicated well.

This was second time staying at the Purple Porpoise! We are a group of nurses who vacation together for many many years! House was clean , spacious and plenty of room. Views from back deck at sunset are breathtaking . Right across street from beach with easy beach access.

This is our fourth time staying in this house with two families with children. The views from the house and the quick walk to the beach are amazing. And the pool is a nice bonus! The house itself is clean and in great shape. Lots of beach chairs, toys, games, and books (kids and adult) available. We always have a great stay!

This was our third stay at this lovely home. The views are amazing and access to the beach is just a few steps away. My family and I love the heated pool which is perfect for an early spring vacation. The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable and the house is always clean! Communicating with Monica is quick and easy. Planning to be back again next year!

The property was exactly as described and was spotless! We loved the location, which provided fabulous views of both the ocean and marsh. The beach access was right across the street and the beach was gorgeous. We really appreciated the owners allowing us to check in early.

We loved this home. It had everything we needed. There were pool and beach toys as well as beach chairs. Although I didn’t need them, they provided pack-n-plays and a high chair, abundant towels and wash cloths. I would stay agin!!!

Great property, location; well supplied.

This is our 2nd visit to Holden Beach and first time staying at this property. One of our favorite things about this house is the views. Ocean views in the front and marsh views in the back where the sunsets are amazing! We also enjoyed the pool in the late afternoons. The beach access is right across the street. The house is as described and even better in person. We will definitely return! Thanks!!
