Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall, we loved the layout of the house for the number of people that we had, and we adore this gated neighborhood and the amenities. The pool in the backyard was great, and it was clean and warmed up. The house was also clean; although, a friend said she had seen several very small roaches in the house. We were disappointed with the state of the separate apartment. There is an obviously known issue with moisture in the air, since there is a humidifier plugged into the wall that filled up to eight times a day with water and had to be dumped. I don't recall there ever being any mention of this issue ahead of our stay. As a result of the moisture in the air, there was visible mold on the ceiling of the bathroom and the apartment smelt musty. This is really unacceptable for a rental and should be addressed ASAP. Also, the couch in the living room of the main house is old and worn out (cushions are very faded). As a result, the pullout couch doesn't properly flatten - the end is elevated despite us trying to push it down. You should consider updating with two, new large couches. I can't speak to the beds in the other bedrooms, but the master king bed is very very stiff and uncomfortable, and others complained about the lack of blankets in the house (i.e., extras for the living room and bedrooms). So overall, we loved our stay, but I would not rent this unit again until these issues are addressed.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house could be very beautiful. I understand it’s a rental but there is much wear and tear. It had possible mold in the upstairs bathroom, loose bath fixtures in the master bath and the area around the pool and the pool was not cleaned when we arrived. Also, we learned that there is no tram service & that is a deal breaker. We have children & it’s very inconvenient (even with bikes) to haul kids and belongings to the beach. Also, getting a beach chair was not easy as ever seemed to be reserved that was in front of Destin pointe. The MIL suite smelled musty and moldy.

We loved the house, this yr was our second time staying at Destin Pointe I think we were spoiled on our first stay because the house we stayed at had lots of extras that this one didn’t, just small things like no extra blankets or games so be sure to bring your own but we loved it none the less!

Great stay

We came in for a short stay to attend a wedding reception. The Destin Pointe community has great location to beach and dining. Our condo was nice size for 5 adults. We had a great time.

Loved the neighborhood with multiple pool and beach options and the private efficiency above the garage there was needed privacy for a young baby along with Mom & Dad to have a place to rest away from the noise. The neighborhood is also very convenient to get to some great Destin eating spots.

This particular property was not up to the standards we’ve experienced in the past. The pool (private) was quite dirty. Appeared to not have been cleaned in months. Lots of debris. Mold in the upstairs bathroom, shower in master was missing parts. Refrigerator was missing shelves and drawers were cracked. And didn’t get very cold. We actually threw away lunch items as they were not to temp the next morning. This property dated and not maintained. Also there was no tram service so we had to drive to the pools. And while we were the only ones at the pool one afternoon, we hung out with our adult kids in the corner of the pool and moved an umbrella close to the edge for shade. A maintenance person came through and made a rude remark and moved the umbrella 5 ft back to where it was. A bit ridiculous! We love Destin Pointe, just disappointed in this particular stay.
