4 BR 4 BA Cottage - Walk to Private BEACH!!!

Beautiful home and area

This was the perfect house for my family to ring in the new year. Very comfortable surroundings, a well equipped kitchen for family meals and an easy drive from Chicago. We especially enjoyed the ease of the fireplace. The house is tucked in a wooded lot with space between houses and an easy walk to a private beach. Peter was always very responsive to our questions prior to booking. I would highly recommend the Blue House.

Lovely, comfortable home that suited our family very well. It was well stocked for everything i.e., kitchne, beach etc,We loved both the front porch and back porch. Walk to beach was not too long although once you hit the footpath it was alot of up and down. We did it with a two year old butyou couldnt pull a wagon up to the beach stairs so it was just much slower. We would love to come back next year but the price point went up enough that it is out of our budget now.

The house was perfect! Plenty of room for my whole extended family of 10. Common areas were great for hanging out. We had no problems during our stay.

It is a beautiful property and very well equipped

This is a beautiful house in a quiet neighborhood. Great set up. Beds comfy. Outdoor shower is helpful. Loved the screened in porch. We saw deer every day. Easy neighborhood to walk in. We had 4 generations from 2 mos to 81 yrs. That being said, the trip to and from the beach was a little tricky. There are a few sets of stairs to navigate of which we were unaware.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this lovely home! We were truly touched by the beautiful Christmas decorations that the hosts put up both inside and outside. It brought so much joy to our family during the holiday stay.All of the bedrooms were generously sized and provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The kitchen was also well-equipped with all the essentials, which was especially important for us since we were traveling with children.Overall, I want to emphasize just how cozy and convenient this home is. We had an incredible time together as a family, and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to create those cherished memories. Thank you for being such wonderful hosts!

We stayed in this beautiful home nestled in peaceful woods at the end of August with our 3 young children, ages 6 months-5 years. It had everything we needed to be comfortable in the house as well as at the beach. The 10 minute walk to the private beach was beautiful. Not the most ideal with 3 young kids but we truly enjoyed the walk and with their set up it made it easy going to the beach. Our kids loved seeing the deer every day and even some turkeys! The owners were fast with communication and helpful if we needed something. I would recommend this to anyone and I would stay here again.

We had a great time spent at this very nice house near the beach. Front and back porches were excellent and very relaxing. Accommodations were clean and kitchen was well stocked. Private beach and comfortable bedding.

Our family had a wonderful stay at this property. Everything we needed was available for our use (beach stuff, kitchen stocked, etc). The porches were our favorite part of the house and we utilized them a ton. Rooms and bathrooms were perfect for our group and we also loved the fire pit. It was so nice to have firewood available for us to use!! The beach was very nice and is a great place to catch a beautiful sunset. The walk to the beach was fun and beautiful but more difficult than we anticipated (lots of up and down with stairs/hills) but everyone in our group was able to do the walk. I’d definitely recommend this house and would stay here again.

Had to come up for a funeral and needed a place to stay for my family and my sister’s. This property was great and accomodated the 8 of us very comfortably. Clean, well appointed and in a very convenient area for us. Definately would rent it again or recommend it to others.
