We were looking for a property large enough to accommodate our extended family to gather for belated Christmas. Having 3 couples, and 3 little ones, can be daunting to find comfortable accommodations. There was much room to spread out. Plenty of bathrooms, for sure!! The older stove & range was interesting, but very easy to use. Everything we needed. Lots of games tvs, play equipment. Appreciated having toiletries, paper products, plenty of towels and dishes. Could use measuring cups & spoons, and maybe a few more eating utensils when there is a large family staying. As additional info: The master suite is very large, and includes a sitting room. 2 of the bathrooms are located in this suite. Also has a pack and play and changing table in that suite. Would have been good to know so kids didn't have to bring there's from home. But we should have asked as well. In the basement is 2 bedrooms: queen in one, twin in other. These rooms are small, without much area to put away clothes. It worked for us because we weren't there long, and kept clothes in suitcases. Host was very accommodating, helpful, and responsive!
Great house! We loved it and would love to come back.
Hosts were very accommodating. Plenty of space. Great location.
It's not very often there are the same number of bathrooms and bedrooms. There were 3 living areas as well. It allowed us to stay together but not get on each others nerves. We had deer visiting the yard every morning. It is close to shopping as well. Very comfortable and relaxing stay.
The property is beautiful and house is very spacious. My family and I was attending the my son's wedding and the house was situated between their house and the venue. Thank you for sharing your home w/ my family.
We enjoyed our stay, had plenty of space inside and outside to spread out while traveling with our young adult children. Loved the master suite. Making scrambled eggs on the vintage stove was a big hit! Nice restaurants and markets nearby. Great location to stay at while visiting the US Air Force Museum. It was a pleasure to meet the host’s father when he came to mow the lawn.
It was exactly what we needed. The house and patio were perfect. The owner is very nice and helpful. All was clean and comfortable and everythingwe needed. TY!!!
House is beautiful not updated but in good shape. Stove older than expected and could use newer kitchen utensils and linens. Views and patio gorgeous. Plenty of space for all of us however the downstairs was disappointing…it didn’t seem as clean as the rest of the house and we had an unfortunate issue with the bathroom and the host wanted us to take care of it at first…and we were there for events related to our son’s wedding and didn’t have time to be taking care of fixing things in an area we were unfamiliar with. He eventually got a plumber to take care of it but my husband ended up having to clean all the mess from the toilet overflow so we could use the bathroom. The linens throughout the beds are old and worn and unpleasant. I have mixed feelings about this place because the master suite was amazing and perfect for my daughter and her husband and baby. The house overall is a beautiful space. I think fresh linens and making the downstairs more inviting would go a long way to make it a better space. Thank you for the use of your home.
We had a great time! The place was beautiful and very clean, and the host was very accommodating. If we ever come back to the Dayton area, we'd try to stay here again!
I really liked this house and it suited my needs well. I needed a place to gather with family in the area, and I am from out of state. There was plenty of space both inside and out. I would stay here again if circumstances allowed.
Home worked great for a larger group. VERY nice parking area with room for 4 cars - also had a second driveway that allowed parking as well. Interesting kitchen with a VERY cool stove/oven from the 1950s. Kitchen is dated, but the stove makes up for it. First floor worked well for our family with 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and 2 sitting areas. Was happy to figure out that the large master bedroom area has a second heating zone after sleeping 1 night in the cold. Basement was outdated but did have 2 places to sleep and a bathroom. Home felt like the current owner continue to use the home for family gatherings which was confirmed when we found GI Joes in the main living room area and lots of toys in one of the basement rooms. Overall a nice place. Would recommend better lighting on the address as it was difficult to find the house at night. We would also recommend having more information/instructions about the house. There were little things we questioned that could have been answered with more information. We were also unsure what all needed to be completed to vacate the property.
