Internally, the property offers spacious accommodation and is furnished to a high standard throughout. Externally, the garden, complete with garden furniture, is ideal for relaxing after a busy day exploring. Make your holiday extra special and treat yourself to a private chef, who will cook up a feast for you and your guests. Harlyn Bay, one of the top five beaches in the UK, is just 1½ miles from the property. It hosts the Harlyn Bay Surf School which is regarded as the best in the area (surf lessons, paddleboarding, kayaking).

With St Merryn ideally positioned just 4 miles from Padstow and 11 miles from Newquay, it comes as no surprise that along the coast and surrounding area there are a variety of scenic walks and cycle routes waiting to be discovered. The St Merryn village motto is aptly entitled ’Seven Bays for Seven Days’ and refers to the seven beaches within the parish Trevone Bay, Harlyn Bay, Mother Iveys Bay, Boobies Bay, Constantine Bay, Treyarnon Bay and Porthcothan Bay, all of which offer a different coastal experience.

Just a short distance away is the popular fishing port of Padstow, characterised by its harbour ambience and reputation for gourmet restaurants. A pleasant and relaxing place to wander around, the medieval network of lanes wind through the small town with most leading to the picturesque harbour. A variety of boat trips regularly depart from the harbour, offering cruises and fishing trips along with a ferry across the estuary to Rock. This property especially welcomes families. A cot and a highchair is provided for younger guests, plus there is a stairgate. For older children there are bunk beds, DVDs, board games and a chess set.

Lovely, well maintained cottage. Great south facing garden, sheltered from the north west winds. Well equipped with kitchen equipment and blankets for snuggling under in the living room. Great location as you can walk almost everywhere you need to go. We will come again.

Lovely property in the heart of St Merryn. Very well equipped kitchen, extremely comfortable beds and power showers. Lounge/diner is small so might not suit very young toddlers but there’s a garden if it’s nice outside.

Lovely location, but not sure it had been cleaned thoroughly, there were a few cobwebs around the house, one of the blinds in the lounge didn’t work and the blind on the smaller window was on back to front, information folder was out of date, the password for the WiFi was out of date and instructions for the heating was not clear. Lovely holiday and lovely house. Easy to get to many places by car and nice walk to Harlyn Bay. Local pub, chinese and chippy all fantastic food, slightly more expensive but completely worth it. Only things that was an issue was the oven, the bottom rack did not fit in anywhere else so could only cook at the bottom and only 1 thing at a time, so cooking a roast became quite challenging. The other was the fridge did not have door space so fridge became filled quickly due to not having this extra space. Other than this I would recommend this house for a nice little week away. We stayed here 5 years ago so knew the property before we arrived. The only feedback I would give would be to update pictures, add a full length mirror, slightly larger kitchen table and extra chairs  Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

We had a loveky break away as a family which was much needed. The house is close to some gorgeous bays that weren't over crowded. We ate out at The Farmers Arms and Cornish Arms which were both lovely. We are looking to book again for next year as its the perfect location to explore a beautiful place. We had a lovely time at the cottage over Christmas. It was clean and spacious. The area was very nice with shops and beaches close by. However it could do with having a bit more cutlery, knife, folks etc. Double bed base is not very solid. The Christmas decorations were very poor, well there was one bit of deco hanging on a coat hanger and not so nice looking Christmas tree. I would stay there again but not at Christmas time.
