4 Bdrm Modern Victorian with Tree House and playground

Our stay was short for a weekend wedding. The house was well equipped and had all the spaces we needed for our family. The playground was a plus for my 4 year old. This is a historical home and is very beautiful.

Host was very accommodating. It was our second stay here and we enjoyed the space and amenities.

The inside of the home was wonderful. Everything you could ask for was there. Very comfortable and the showers were GREAT. The 1 thing that i'll point out is my 1st impression. The outside of the home needs some work. The porch and decks need staining and there were many places where the paint was peeling or non existent. Like i said it was wonderful having my family together and there was plenty of room for all. Would i rent again......noR

Our family had such a wonderful time staying at this property as we attending our son's graduation from Siena. It had everything we needed and could tell there was great care in all aspects of our stay and would highly recommend staying here.

Our family stayed there, and we had room to entertain extended family. Nice quiet neighborhood. Clean and spacious with a large yard. Conveniently located near grocery store and restaurants. We will stay there again!

Left this house after only one night. While photos look nice and downstairs was welcoming, It was obvious that someone lived there. The list of negatives is not insignificant. Needless to say, my wife slept in her clothes the one and only night we spent. We left the first morning returing the place to exactly the same condition we found it in. This is the second and final time I will rent a VRBO. Can't see how these properties can get all 5's when personal items are everywhere, toilet seat broken, walls cracked and in disrepair, and the list goes on. Further, when we left this rental, the owner was in denial about all of the things I pointed out so I paid 2417 for one night and any portion of a refund was denied. Good thing none of us fell and got injured on the front walk way that was solid ice and unshoveled.

Great house

The house was lovely; every bedroom was nicely furnished with plenty of linens. The kitchen was amazing and was a great place for everyone to gather around and cook; the way the table opened up to the outdoor space was wonderful, but since it was snowing, we didn't get to really use it. The bathrooms were stunning with really nice showers, and there were plenty of nice touches. Galina was kind host who was easy to reach. I would definitely stay again and recommend the place to anyone in the area.

We were there for a concert in Albany. Perfect place to spend time with friends rather than getting all separate hotel rooms. Great location only a 10-15 minute drive to Albany. House was nice and roomy. Clean and comfortable. Thanks!

The house was wonderful, spacious and well appointed. The location also made access to restaurants in town very easy. And we anppr how Galina was super responsive whenever we had a question.

We were in Troy for a family wedding and could not have been more pleased with our stay at the Modern Painted Lady. The house is larger than the pictures portrayed so there was more than enough space for us and it had all of the necessities one needs. Galina was a clear and communicative host so there were no surprises. Could not recommend more.

So much space and we enjoyed siting outside in the evenings. We will definitely be looking to book again.

Large kitchen and living space, great outdoor deck.

This house suited our needs for our girls trip. The showers were INCREDIBLE and probably one of the best features of the house (aside from the historic charm!) The decor was a bit confusing and didn't seem to match the beauty of the historic home but that’s no reason to deduct any stars. I will say it would be nice if the host would have more silverware available as there was only about 3 spoons and forks. Additional hand towels would also be nice as there were not enough for each bathroom and kitchen. There should be some instructions on how to operate the oven and stove but after a few texts with the host we were able to get it sorted! The house was clean and spacious. I stayed in the room right at the top of the stairs and it was so cozy!! The beds were all very comfortable. The host was easy to communicate with and quick to respond when I had questions. If you have difficulty with stairs, avoid this house. Both full bathrooms are on the second floor and the staircase is very steep. It was no problem for us, but just a warning for anyone older or unsteady on their feet!

Galina was very easy to communicate with! The property is very sizeable, safe and was great with two kids under the age of 3.
