We just loved staying at the property. Such a relaxing and clean beach.

To be honest we felt the photos of the property were somewhat deceiving compared to the actual house. The inside lighting was inadequate at night. We had to run the clothes dryer through several cycles. Never could get two of the TVs to work. Also, we were a little concerned about the plumbing system as when you flushed you could hear water gurgling in other areas. However, the location and beach access were great.

While our time in North Topsail was lovely, the property was not exactly as described--newly remodeled, very clean and well-maintained is quite a stretch. We appreciated direct beach access and the ability to rinse off the sand, but the check in process (having to drive to Surf City to obtain house keys) was old-school and clunky. All of the indoor and outdoor furnishings, appliances, floors, hardware, etc. show significant wear from years of use and weathering. The unit lacked real cleanliness--so much sand everywhere when we arrived, baseboards and vents and counters visibly dirty, not-clean dishes in cupboards--and maintenance is poor--light fixtures with blown bulbs, a faucet not attached to a shower unit, bedroom televisions not functioning, sliding door off the track in a bedroom, etc. We were grateful for a plethora of sand toys for our grandkids, but sad to be missing the porch swing shown in pictures. We cleaned as we unpacked (and made beds--you will need to rent your linens, so if that's a deal breaker, definitely move on), but were disappointed to be doing that as we arrived for our week-long vacation after driving 12 hours. When you're spending a couple thousand dollars on lodging, you expect hotel-like accommodations. This home, while excellently located, is not hotel-like.

The property is in a great location and has potential to be a wonderful vacation spot. The problem is it appears no one is taking care of the property and only the bear minimum is being done. We as a family found numerous cleaning and maintenance issue but two simple examples are: -The bedding on all of the beds had multiple very visible stains (one of the comforters appears to have multiple sex stains) which shows that no inspection of the bedding was performed -There were multiple rooms that required a replacement light bulb. One room means the light went out but we counted as least 4 rooms so clearly this property is not getting a quality inspection between customers. I can go on but I will not gross you out. We cleaned for the first couple of hours we got there and went to Roses and bought blankets and pillow covers and made the best of the rest of our vacation.

The North Topsail location of this duplex was nice, and being oceanfront is great! The check in process was old school and clunky. It would have been much better if there was electronic lock access like most short term rentals instead of having to go the office to collect keys and paperwork. The place was also not cleaned well before our stay. Overall, the place worked for us despite Tropical Storm Debby being there with us all week!

This was a wonderful house to have our family vacation. The check in process was easy. The house was beautifully decorated and comfortable. I would definitely recommend this again.

The house was everything we hoped for and then some. The views and sounds of the ocean were amazing from the house. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable and we slept amazing. The location was perfect for taking quick trips to Surf City. There are a few local restaurants nearby that made dining out easy. Even though we saw complaints about the checkin process, we found it to be very easy. We arrived later than we expected and we had no issues with picking up our keys. They even contacted us before we arrived to make sure we had everything we needed. I would highly recommend for a perfect vacation getaway.

Beach lovers paradise! Perfect area for shell/tooth hunting! Perfect distance from either town

My family and I loved the beach house we booked! It was the perfect beachfront for my nephew. However, the floors in the house were quite sandy upon arrival. We also discovered a few dirty cooking pans from a previous renter. The dryer made a very high pitched noise when running, which was quite painful. Owners should definitely take a look at that. But overall, we had a wonderful time, and the positives outweighed the negatives!
