Stayed Sep 20, 2025House was exactly as described and worked perfect for a place to stay while hunting. There is even access to national Forest right across the street. Only thing that was a hassle was having to take the trash out a couple miles in the opposite direction of our exit.

Stayed Jul 11, 2025This is the best VRBO we have rented in the Fairplay area. We will definitely rent again if it is available. The picture does not show all the trees around the house. It makes you feel very secluded. The minute you walk in the door you feel at home. It is open & inviting. There are plenty of windows that are easy to open for fresh air. The dining room table is large. The living room is cozy with pillows, blanket, kids toys, tons of movies & games.The kitchen has everything you need including a big variety of coffee, tea, etc. There is a washer & dryer. As well as, a barbecue on the deck. There is a table & chairs on the deck to watch the night sky. The beds are comfortable with bed side tables with lamp. One of the bedrooms has a tv. The bathroom has 2 sinks, plenty of towels & great water pressure. The art on the walls is beautiful & appropriate for the cabin feel. The cabin is the cleanest we have had. We just loved being there from the word go. I wish I had taken pictures but I was too busy just relaxing.

Stayed Jul 4, 2024Place was clean and well stocked. Host was very responsive and easy to work with. Loved being close to national forest with a great trail. It was close to FairPlay CO with restaurants and access to groceries and supplies. Enjoyed the remote quiet location.

Stayed Jun 27, 2024We are the repeat customers--the Paine cabin has always been great for us. We enjoyed the deck, so nice to take a walk on the trail right outside the cabin, well stocked pantry, clean bath with plenty of towels. Wildflowers were just starting, and we got some clear skies for stargazing. All good.

Stayed Aug 8, 2022This is the second time we've stayed at this cabin, and enjoyed it as much as the first. Maybe better, as the last stay was in July, mosquitoes were bad enough that we didn't eat on the deck. Not so this time, enjoyed breakfast and dinner outside! Wildflowers were just as beautiful, fresh mountain breezes, aspen trees and birds. We slept well, what more could you want?
