3 Mi to Big Boulder Mtn! Poconos Home w/ Game Room

We arrived for a family ski weekend and shortly after unloading all of our groceries/belongings, the property became completely uninhabitable. After minimal toilet paper use, one toilet would not flush. We then discovered the second, unused toilet also would not flush, and both showers had several inches of standing water and would not drain, indicating a sewage blockage. I immediately contacted the owner, Al Mazzoni. His response was dismissive—he stated he could not get anyone out that night, could not guarantee a fix the next day, and told us he would rather refund us and have us pack up and leave. He made no attempt to troubleshoot and instructed us to contact Evolve/VRBO. His response suggested this may not have been an unexpected issue. Evolve representatives later informed us they attempted to contact Mr. Mazzoni multiple times, but he did not answer or respond. My family of five was left without any working restroom while we packed up and spent hours being transferred between representatives late at night. VRBO eventually refunded the rental and covered one hotel night, but the disruption severely impacted our trip. I recently had hip surgery and was left without a place to safely stay during the day once the hotel required checkout. The plumbing failure and, more importantly, the owner’s handling of the situation made this a stressful and unacceptable experience. I would not recommend this property based on habitability concerns and lack of owner support.

Very family friendly house, also great for our dog. Close to big boulder and convenient for lots of fun winter activities with rowdy kids.

This house is always great. Second time we have stayed there and hasn’t disappointed. The kids love feeding the deer. We had a tremendous holiday weekend.

Needed kitchen towels, napkins, and dishwasher detergent. Could have been a bit cleaner. Floors appeared needing swept.

My son is getting married in October, so this weekend was his bachelor get away with his best man (brother) and family friend.As l understand, everyone was very pleased with the accommodations. It was clean and very comfortable. It turned out to be a fabulous weekend for all.

A beautiful property close to Lake Harmony, but away from the main drag.We weren't around enough to use the downstairs game room, but it looked like fun.Would definitely stay here again.

Everything was great, the property was very cozy and clean, except we couldn't use the large grill because the gas line was broken.

We had a great stay here during our family trip to the Poconos area. Checking in during one of the hottest days of the year was definitely challenging, but we managed to get the house cooled overnight and really enjoyed the rest of our stay. The house had everything we needed and several extras! One of the bedrooms had a sleep number bed, which was nice. There were also USB ports on the back of the nightstands in the main bedroom, which was a nice bonus. We loved all of bear decorations, country decor, and wrap-around porch. The neighborhood was very nice and relaxing. Check in and check out process was easy.

House had everything necessary for a great weekend. Kids loved the basement and all the visiting deer!

We were very pleased with what this house had to offer. The kitchen had everything needed. The bedrooms and bathrooms worked well for us. The kids loved the basement which kept them busy during the rain. I was so excited to see the deer feeder! I purchased a 50 lb bag of deer corn at the country junction and we had deer all weekend. I most appreciated that the house was dog friendly. Thank you for allowing us to spend the weekend!

We had a great stay. Very short drive to the ski area and restaurants. Communication was great. The only thing I would improve is the mattress in the second queen bedroom. It’s really worn down and uncomfortable. Other than that we really enjoyed the house. Kids loved the game room.

Absolutely perfect for our granddaughter and xmas decorations where all over...we were all very happy with our stay and will definitely be back

My family and I had an excellent experience at this Pocono home. The house was very clean. The kitchen was well stocked with everything that we needed to make meals. The living areas were nicely decorated, cozy, and comfortable. The backyard had a trough to feed deer, and while we had a fire in the firepit, we had a chance to feed the deer. We did not need to contact the property manager.

The cabin was clean and beautiful. The whole process was so easy from check in to check out! It is a perfect location to hike at Hickory Run State Park. We look forward to going back to explore more of the area!

Excellent home with all amenities for a family. Quiet location and plenty of places to visit near by for a great fall experience or trout fishing. Jim Thorpe Fall Festival was only a short 20 minutes away.

My grown kids and significant others and grandkids and myself all had a great time

Other then sink leaking mold in coffee filter broken curtain rod in spare bedroom.so my husband fixed the sink so we could do dishes.but other than that we enjoy are stay.thank you for letting us stay at ur place
