Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a very pleasant stay in this home. It was exceptionally clean and the furniture was comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you could want. The owners welcomed guests with little extras like a book with all kinds of information about The Villages, chairs for the squares, and pool bags. The home was in a great location near to stores, Brownwood, and Eisenhower Recreation Center.

The owner even provided a notebook telling where things could be found in the home and also included restaurant menus and provided some special touches like fold-up chairs for the squares. We did find the mattresses to be very hard (think concrete) but we bought a mattress topper that solved the problem. We will stay here again.

Location is close to grocery shopping, town square and golf. Lovely and quiet neighbourhood.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The bed linens were cheap and not comfortable. The bath towels were too small. The one-ply toilet paper was ridiculous as you have to use twice as much, so we ran out of toilet paper. We also ran out of kleenex tissues; not enough in the house. The ice maker broke while we were there, but Down Home Properties said we could buy a bag of ice and get reimbursed. All in all, the home was nice and convenient location. If the owner would up their game and supply better quality linens and toilet paper, this would've been a 5 star rating. We would definitely use Down Home Properties again, but go with a different house next time.

Nice size lanai (would have liked a gas BBQ grill but otherwise well supplied). Great location & neighborhood.

What a beautiful home. This was our fifth December of renting in The Villages and this was the best place yet. We arrived late at night and had no problem getting in. The large master bedroom with the walk in shower was perfect. I enjoy cooking and the kitchen was well stocked with dishes, cooking utensils, pots, pans and baking pans. There were some good sharp knives that seem to be missing in our other rentals. We had no problems so never had to contact anyone for help. I’d recommend it to everyone.

I like to cook, the kitchen appliances, pots, pans and utensils were the best I’ve come across in all our rentals. We had absolutely no problems and hope to rent again next year.
