Perfect for large group, very clean and easy walk to beach. Great location

This place is exactly as advertised. It was perfect for our family of 5, and could've easily hosted two smaller families. The extra suite would make the perfect parents/in-law cabin, but our 22yo sure enjoyed his 'space'. The owners thought of everything, and had plenty of beach chairs, umbrellas, and carts. The large deck with a gate was perfect for our dog, too. Recommendation to other renters - bring bikes or rent them from a service, as this is an easy 2 mile ride into town.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our vacation started out awesome. The home and beach were beautiful. However, the cockroaches that refused to leave stole that from my family and I. The cockroaches crawled in my daughter while she was enjoying the nice sectional sofa. Nobody was willing to sit on the sectional after that. The cockroaches infested the pantry were we kept some of our food and dog food and we had to throw it all away.

We particularly liked the separate, yet attached, cottage that provided extra space and privacy; this layout allowed for quiet times to relax alone as well as fun gatherings over meals and games. Everyone loved the central location for easy walks to either the ocean or the sound...Beautiful sunrises and sunsets each day. Sound Sea Haven could be called Sound Sea Heaven!We hope to go back soon.

We stayed in both houses, which gave additional room and privacy. The kitchen is well appointed and I found everything in the kitchen well thought out. They also have a gas grill outdoor that was in good shape with plenty of gas, We were walking distance (about 7-9 houses down the road) from the beach and beach access was easy peasey. Highly recommend the seafood pots from the Boil Company! We loved the boardwalk and shops in Duck and the beaches were in good shape but it was red flag while we were there. Plenty of fun things and good food to make this trip special. Loved the house and everything was in good working condition.

Unit was not cleaned when we arrived paid for early check in but unit was not ready until 4:00 was told would receive refund but one week later no credit has been posted to my account. also had to call twice for pick up of dirty linens from previous renter. The unit was amazing. very comfortable location was great and beach was great. We will rent this location again

This is a lovely home - near Duck, a short walk to the beach, and well appointed. Perfect decorations. Our only complaint was the beds - they were not very comfortable, but that may be a matter of personal preference. Would definitely return!!

Relaxing

We will be book marking this property for future trips. We've stayed in multiple vacation properties over the years and this has been our favorite place by far. Highly recommend.
