We really enjoyed our tme here. The place had everything we needed or wanted, and with a large backyard. The place is quiet and near restaurants and beaches. We can't say enough good things.

Cozy 1 bedroom efficiency short walk to the beach. A little back patio and grass surrounded by greenery and flowering shrubs makes for a little relaxing private space. Equipped with about everything. Host very accommodating and responsive.

The unit was fully equipped and very clean, comfortable. Owners was excellent and all of his dining recommendations were great!!

Great little place - love the yard and the location! Oh - and the water pressure is marvelous!

Really nice backyard space, which we always look for in a vacation rental. Enjoyed some fresh citrus and outdoor time at the patio table. Loved having access to the cruiser bikes and rode all around the area to the many prime beaches within a mile or two of the unit. Unit is set up well and met our needs. Easy 2 block walk to Moonlight beach and we loved Lofty coffee, just one block away. We had an issue which we brought up to the host and he immediately addressed the situation. Great response time and caring host. Bedroom window next to the owner's front door was a little bit odd. Other than that, the place was well-equipped and comfortable. Lots of drawers for storage and the new induction burner was really great to use. Whole-house water filtration system noted and appreciated. Favorite places for food: Lazy Acres Market was an amazing foodie and health food store, Encinitas Fish Market down towards Swamis was sooo good, Nectarine Grove in Leucadia is completely gluten-free and delicious, and tasty.

Warren is an excellent, thoughtful host. We look forward to staying with him again!

Loved the location, a quick walk to the beach and a stroll into downtown Encinitas, The private garden was nice with fruit trees. Location is very quiet at night. Property had everything we needed for a 4 night stay.

This place was a perfect get-away spot for us. The short walk to the beach and to numerous restaurants meant that we could leave the car parked for most of our vacation. It’s a beautiful spot in a safe and friendly neighborhood. Clean and well equipped. Great hosts!

Our host was welcoming. Called to see if there was anything we needed. The accommodations were clean and very well stocked. It was the perfect size for our weekend getaway. We loved it!

Great location just off the 101 and an easy walk to downtown Encinitas. The space was super clean and cozy, and the washer/dryer was such a nice bonus. Our little dog loved having the patio to wander in and out of!

Perfect place for couples that want to be close to the beach in a quiet neighborhood. Very clean, modern appliances, and a comfortable bed. Warren was easy to communicate with and very responsive. Downtown Encinitas shops and restaurants are right down the street, and grocery stores are close by. Will absolutely stay here again when we're in the area.

The property was clean and comfortable and the location was excellent. It was quiet and the little yard was perfect for our dogs. Warren made everything very easy from start to finish. He is an excellent host.

Barley drove our vehicle since everything we needed/wanted to explore was within walking distance. Warren was available to help with anything we needed. I had a wonderful stay at the moonlight beach house. Hosts were accommodating and helpful throughout my stay. The location is hard to beat! Great food and the beach is a 2 minute walk down the hill

Property was great - had a lovely yard and everything you could need for a nice vacation. The location is wonderful, but my favorite part was the hosts, Warren and Meryl. They were incredibly accommodating and very attentive for everything I needed. Thank you - will definitely be returning.

We enjoyed this lovely place very much. It is super close to Moonlight Beach. The host was helpful, bed was comfy and the garden relaxing. The neighborhood is fantastic and friendly. Everyone said hello to us as we walked the dog.

Property was one of the nicest I’ve stayed at. The hosts were wonderful and quite responsive.

The layout was perfect for the two of us and our two furry friends. Nice separation of the bedroom and the living/kitchen area. Wonderful location (away from railroad, within nice neighborhood - great for our morning dog walks). Close to the beach - enjoyed watching the beach pick-up volleyball games at the beach park a couple of blocks away. Easy walking distance to central downtown restaurants/shops. Perfect!

Great location in quiet neighborhood close to the beach. Property is private and has nice yard. We did not bring our 35 lb dog with us on this trip, but well-mannered pooch would have been welcomed there.Warren was an excellent host -- prompt, attentive, and easy to reach. He is very knowledgeable and gave good advice re: restaurants, etc.

The apartment was just as advertised. It was very comfortable for my wife and I We slept really well. I was surprised at how quite the neighborhood was and how at ease you felt We enjoyed outstay

My husband and I enjoyed an 11 night stay at this property. It was comfortable and had all the amenities one would need to cook and also enjoy a big screen HD TV with lots of channels (the World Series was on!). Our host was very easy to communicate with and we had no problems with anything except we did need some help with the TV as it was a bit complicated for us from another country. All in all, highly recommend this property for a great beach/Southern CA holiday.

The property is in the perfect location! Short walk to the beach and town. The house is clean, very comfortable and Warren was a great host whose communication was super helpful. I would definitely recommend and will not hesitate to stay again.

Small but well equipped house in a great location. It was perfect for our short stay

Positives: everything worked, provided all basics (lots of extra towels), A/C worked well, close to the beach and coffee shops, TV had streaming and TV stations, separate bedroom with closet space and bureau that both suitcases fit on top of, forceful shower wand Negatives: bathroom much too small, couldn't open door unless you got in next to the commode and shower, when I sat down the toilet paper dispenser rubbed my shoulder, it is very difficult to get in and out of, clumsy and probably impossible for a heavyset person to use.The walk to the beach is about 2-2 1/2 short blocks but one of the blocks is mostly downhill/uphill so difficult if you older or have some mobility issues. Property is worn but clean.

Really wanted to like this property, especially since the location is perfect. Unfortunately we had the following complaints. I'm only providing them to inform future guests. 1. The address on VRBO takes you to the wrong location and the owner sends a PDF with the correct address, along with other instructions. 2. Owners live IN THE HOME and great you when you arrive. We like to rent a VRBO for privacy and didn't expect to feel like we were staying in someones basement. 3. They claim to be pet friendly, but were visibly upset that we had dog hair on our clothes (We had been in the car with the dog on our lap for 8 hours) 4. Perhaps the largest issue. There is a motion light that spooked our dog a couple times at night. When I say spook, I mean that the dog barked 2-3 times before we could hush him and he stopped (the dog was indoors). Each time this happened the owner called and texted both of our phones, telling us to keep the dog quite. Our dog doesn't bark often or for long periods of time and we've never received a complaint from owners or neighbors before. (4-5 VRBO stays per year). The fact that we were receiving calls at 1:00am, for 10 seconds of barking, was absolutely unacceptable and enough for me to write this review. When I spend money to rent a private home, I don't want to feel like I'm being monitored by the owner upstairs. If none of the above concerns you, the location is great, the home was clean and cozy. We simply won't be staying again.
