2 Beds 2 Baths Home With Swim Pool 2 Miles To Gulf Beaches

We stayed 1 night out of a scheduled 7 day stay. That's the short story. Filthy, Disrepair, non working amenities. If I had a dog I wouldn't let him in the pool or hot tub.Someone was staying in the converted attached garage behind an unlocked door.

It did not look like the pictures. It was dreary and uninviting. The TV was streaming only. No cable or access to regular TV. The owner was slow to respond to questions. We got to town around 3 pm and asked if we could check in early. She responded that we had to wait till 5. She would not text the access code unti 5. We walked through and found moldy toilet paper in the bathroom. It just was not anyplace we wanted to stay. We spent the night in a motel, 3 nights with friends and drove the thousand miles back home. Bad trip! Expensive trip though. Paid for 16 nights and spent none!

The inside of the house was nice and modern. The yard was in very rough shape. House was advertised with a pool and gas grill. The pool was completely green when we arrived, it was drained and refilled during our stay but i am glad there were no kids on this trip, they would have been very upset. We planned to use the grill but when we checked it out the inside of the grill looked like it had been tipped over, rolled around, impossible to use. It was never disclosed that the pool and grill were not usable. These issued should have been disclosed , especially when they were advertised as part of the rental.

The property was very clean and in a quiet neighborhood. The entry light needs a new bulb and we had to find the linen closet to get towels as there were none in the bathrooms. We misread the listing and didn't realize that there's a studio space attached to the house for another guest, but she was very quiet and we really didn't hear her at all. Victoria was prompt to return all communications and we had no problems with the house at all.

The place was as described.

House is located in a very safe quiet neighborhood. Venice and Nakomis beaches are a short drive away.. House is very spacious and clean. Victoria is a wonderful host.

Very clean house close to Venice downtown and only 2 miles from beaches. We stayed 20 days and very disappointed in WIFI and the fact that the pool was not heated and COLD. No washer or dryer so we had to go to a laundry. Owner/ property manager didn’t answer texts or emails in a timely manner. Didn’t get admitted into property until AFTER we were supposed to be in. It took the owner 2 days to fix hot water problem but once solved it was fine. A few things could make this the perfect VRBO, pool heater, better WIFI and an owner that communicates with the guests.

Good-sized home, quiet neighborhood, close to the island. However.....I didn't pay close enough attention to the list of amenities and missed the absence of a washer/dryer on the list. My bad. Also, be aware that even tho there's a barbeque in the backyard, there is no propane available....one would have to find a store selling it.
