A reimagined, renovated classic 1964 mid century modern wonder. Flanked with wall to wall dramatic windows with a 360 degree view set up on a private mountain, this property is beyond stunning. The artwork and decor are vintage collections and locally sourced pieces, the all wood den keeps the style of the 60's alive. Stay cozy with the dramatic fireplace, soak in the jacuzzi or sit on the front porch and watch the rabbits run.

The Draper House is located close enough to town to enjoythe antique stores, cafes, and short drive to La Copine in Landers for a yummy dinner and bottle of wine. It is 20 min drive to the National Park Entrance and downtown Joshua Tree and you could take a nice stroll into downtown Yucca from the house. Also 10 minutes away is Pioneer Town with the famous Pappy and Harriets. This location puts you 45 minutes into downtown Palm Springs and 35-40 minutes to Indio for the Coachella and music festivals. A classic original 1964 MCM house is hard to come by in the high desert. Loved dearly by its owners, we hope this house provides the taste of the American classic style and elegance in the ruggedness of the desert.

Do you like to cook Unlike a lot of Airbnbs we stock our house with good oils and pans, cooking utensils, baking sheets, 3 different ways to make coffee, baking pans, herbs and we have robust rosemary bushes you can cut from on the property.

Sleeping Arrangements:
Cal King Bed sleeps 2 adults + 1 child comfortably in Master Bedroom
Queen beds in the other two bedrooms sleep 2 adults comfortably.
Yellow sofa bed in the Den turns into a futon full sized will sleep 1 adult comfortably or two kids.
Sectional Sofa in the living room is a regular sofa can sleep 1 adult or kids.

Landscape:
- We keep our light pollution very low. Because we back up to a mountain, you can turn the string lights off and you will have amazing star gazing right from our backyard.

Please do not touch the Joshua Trees, they are incredibly delicate and take hundreds of years to grow. We have at least 4-5 on the property.
We value our wildlife and plant life and ask that it also be left alone to flourish in its natural habitat.
We do have bird feeders and leave bird seed in a large metal canister so guests can enjoy feeding the birds and bunnies.
Snakes are quite common in this are as are scorpions, coyotes, bobcats, and possibly mountain lions. Please use caution when hiking. NEVER leave a pet unattended.

    Excellent stay!! Place was clean and stacked with amenities. We loved the thoughtful decor! Very spacious, the office was great for me to work remotely. The hot tub of course was great. Nice location, a bit far from the park but wonderful backyard to exploee out to BLM land. Host was very communicative and ensured our stay went well.Would definitely stay again!
