This is an isolated 1920’s Montana homesteader log cabin on 10 private acres with fishing creek in the middle of protected wilderness. It's is the perfect getaway if you're looking for privacy and quiet. Spend your evenings sitting next to the fire pit and fish for trout in the crystal clear creek in your yard. For those that want to fish the Swan River, IT'S A 60 SECOND WALK. The Swan River is one Montana's most beautiful rivers and home to native trout species. Please get a fishing license and educate yourself which fish are keepers:) This is the right choice that travelers that want privacy, no crowds and no neighbors breathing down your neck. This is vintage Western Montana with breathtaking scenery, clean mountain air, natural spring water and a large outdoor fire pit.

This cabin is conveniently located just 30 minutes from downtown Bigfork and less than an hour from Glacier National Park and Kalispell airport. Easy access to some of Montana's best hiking, fishing, skiing, boating, snowmobiling, any & all outdoor sports. This is NOT the right place if you want a location where you can walk to bars, stores and restaurants...you are pretty remote...the closest real grocery store is 12 miles away.

The cabin is stocked with cookware, utensils, spices, cooking oils, seasonings and a large outdoor charcoal grill for BBQing. All the water in the house is pumped directly from the spring under the cabin... The most AMAZING NATURAL DRINKING WATER ! The previous owners had a five-star rating and my goal is to maintain it and will do what I can to make sure you have the best vacation.

Please be aware that this is an old cabin in the middle of the forest. It’s perfect for someone that wants that vibe and feel. Critters, birds and bugs are your neighbors:)

Hello! Staying at this cabin was nice and a great getaway. It is a dog friendly place but beware that the neighbors dog, which is surprisingly odd that it is on ‘10’ acres, greets you when you pull in. She is very friendly but my two dogs which are labs were taken by surprise. Got through that except for the first morning as we were enjoying our coffee and enjoying the morning inside the cabin, all of a sudden we hear our dogs going crazy! The neighbor dog knows how to open the exterior screen door, exterior door and the interior mud room door. So beware if you have dogs that are selective with other dogs without meeting them first. Otherwise it was great but also expect the extra cleaning fee for dog hair. Go figure. On a lake with two labs that we put their drying coats on them and were very aware of dog yuck. Anyway, enjoy the cabin.

Property was exactly as described. Rustic cabin, but cozy and secluded. Owner was great to work with and responded promptly to messages.

Pay attention to the listing details and reviews so you know what to expect. The host responds promptly and is very helpful. The experience you will have will depend a lot on season and weather. For example we saw very little wildlife (not the perfect time of year) and it rained almost every day. It was cold as expected but very cozy in front of the fire. A couple of mornings we woke up to a snow coated fairy land. A hot summer day in the river would be just as delightful. If you are looking for a unique, remote cabin in the woods with a lot of character and everything you need for a relaxing retreat then this is the place for you. The kitchen is especially well stocked with spices and cookware. If you don't enjoy history, you might not appreciate it as we did. Despite renovations it remains a 1920 homestead with low ceilings and massive log walls. We viewed the age as historical, unique, intriguing and comfortable. The beds were great and the surroundings were beautiful and quiet. If you want a pristine, white interior with modern abstract decor, you will be very disappointed. Be aware that in late fall or winter many restaurants/shops are closed or have limited hours. You may find Glacier National Park closed to cars even if there is no snow in sight. One last word, the road going into the cabin is long and deeply rutted with potholes. Our Ford 250 was tested to the max! That said, GO and ENJOY!

We had an incredible stay at Moose Camp! The space was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and with all the essentials. The directions were clear, and communication with the host was spot on, making the entire process smooth and hassle-free. If you're looking for a peaceful retreat to truly get away from it all, this is the perfect spot. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to relax and enjoy nature. Highly recommend!

It was wonderful!! The yard was bigger than I had thought. So much space for our pup to run. The cabin was just right. Everything was clean with an over abundance of dishes to use and spices of every kind. Loved having a fireplace that actually burns wood, and it started right up. The bedroom was really spacious with a real comfortable bed. It was everything we had hoped for. Deer walked right by the windows several times. That was a bonus. Real quiet--nice. We hope to go again if time allows. Thanks for sharing your wonderful cabin.:)

Our stay at the cabin was exactly what we were looking for. Remote enough to feel secluded but close enough to a well stocked store (Condon Gas Station was more than enough for our needs) the hour drive to Glacier was well worth it. The pond in the back was perfect for the kids to play around in. We loved everything about this property and when we make it back to Montana this will be the first place we attempt to stay. Thank you for letting us enjoy your cabin!

Had a little getaway with my hubby and this place did NOT disappoint. Absolutely beautiful, we loved being away from “it all” for a few days. Cabin has everything you need and is nice and clean. Kitchen was well stoked, we did almost all our cooking there with no issues. Thanks for sharing with us!

My wife and I stayed at the property for 9 days with our two dogs. This was our first trip to Montana. The property is located on a creek, small river, and forest. It is an old 1920's cabin but has been updated with modern amenities like a nice oven/range, TV w/Roku, and large washer and dryer. There was grizzly bear sightings within a mile of the property the week of our stay, so we kept bear spray on us when outdoors and limited our pups running around the property. We still enjoyed the outdoors regularly so it didn't hinder our experience. Deer and geese were regularly in the front yard in the mornings. The property is located 30-50mi away from Bigfork, Polson, Lake Seely, Flathead lake, and Glacier National park. We did day trips to all the forementioned areas and had a great time. Glacier National Park was 100% worth the drive and price. Since we had the dogs with us, we were limited in the park, but we still loved the whole experience including seeing a mama black bear and her 2 cubs. The bedrooms were decently sized and comfortable. The full bathroom had a reasonably sized shower in it, but it was a little cramped for us. The water is off a well so just keep that in mind, it tastes minerally. We opted to buy bottled water for drinking. The road to get to the cabin is rustic and requires a truck or SUV. Overall we very much enjoyed our stay at Moose Camp, and would recommend it to family and friends.
