The house is beautiful inside and out. Bedrooms comfortable and clean. Plenty of space for our stay. Absolutely loved the location five minute walk to downtown and to the Jet ferry to take to Put-In Bay. Good restaurants downtown and loved the coffee shop. The front porch and rocker were our favorite. Cool nights with great area just to talk and catch up. Would definitely recommend to friends and family if they were ever looking for a place in area. Thank you

Posted pictures are old. This place needs a good cleaning and general maintenance. The back screen doir is broken. The house smelled of a fish fry. The refrigerator also stunk of fried fish, which made our food and items kept in there stink. The kitchen floor was disgustingly DIRTY. No dish soap to was dishes. Glassware was dirty. Coffee grounds left in coffe pot from previous guest. Upstairs bathroom floor was dirty. Mold in the tub and shower curtain. No hand soap in dispenser in either bath room. No shampoo as listed in the listing. Not enough towels for 7 people.Light bulb out in bathroom. Broken fan in hallway. Batteries in tv remotes were dead. Broken rocking chairs on the porch, someone could've gotten hurt. Place is infested with ants. They are everywhere. So bad that several of us were getting bit. The trash receptacles outside were full of smelly trash. Could smell them by the back door. Woukd not recommend staying here, unless you are ok with being in a dirty, ant infested, smelly place

Overall we were pleased with the Folk Victorian. It more than met our needs. I recommend either removing or repairing the storm door to the side/rear entrance to the kitchen. The fans and window a/c units also led me to believe we did not have central air and could not adjust for the two bedrooms with twin beds until Wednesday. I also found towels in the washer on Friday when I started my load as part of our check out.

The house could definitely use a good clean. The basement smelled terrible (that's where the washer & dryer are). The soffit and gutters around the front porch are falling down/rotting. Other than the lack of cleanliness, the place was fine.

While this house served its purpose for our group of 7 women for a bachelorette, the listing photos are definitely deceiving. The exterior of the house does not look like the listing photos. There are no flowers, the entire front is weeds and not kept up. The front porch roof is rotting/falling in and there are string lights on the front porch just kind of hanging randomly/broken everywhere. The outdoor furniture was also pretty dirty and some arms on the rocking chairs were broken and would fall off when using them. The landscaping and dirty furniture I could see if we were staying in March/April, but isn’t June the beginning of busy season for the area? They have a propane fire pit that would be nice to use if the chairs weren’t filthy and covered in cobwebs. The interior of the house was decorated nicely, but there was definitely an odor when you first walked in. You got used to it as the night when on though. There is also an ant problem in the house. There were ant traps everywhere. We had to throw away a container of untouched cinnamon rolls because ants had gotten in them, and the entire counter by the fridge was covered in ants, so don’t leave any food on the counters. There were also cobwebs and spiders in many corners of the house, so I’m assuming it’s not cleaned very well between visits. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and made the most of it, but just know that the listing pictures do no depict the current state of the house exterior.

This was a wonderful place for our adult family of four. The four bedrooms were very comfortable and the two bathrooms (one up and one down) were great. Both had showers and tubs plus plenty of towels. The owner is extremely responsive and helpful. The home is furnished very nicely with many lovely touches. We will definitely stay here again when we come to Port Clinton!
