1880's Farm House on a Christmas Tree Farm 5 Minutes to Oregon State University

It was quaint and cozy. We enjoyed it so much. It was close to shopping and OSU.

What great place to stay while visiting my daughter who attending the university. It was a real home and a charming environment. It felt so good cooking a meal together and then sitting and talking in a living room instead of sitting in a restaurant or hotel lobby! I hope this house is available every time we go back.

The whole trip was amazing. Our accommodations were amazing. Everything you need is there and the host is awesome. We loved the house. WiFi is great if you are into that. But the grounds and the wildlife, go out and enjoy, We will return

Everything about our stay was lovely. We were showed around the farmhouse, and my interest in the pottery studio led to a very nice conversation with Dale about his extensive work in ceramics. The house itself is cozy and clean, well stocks with amenities, and conveniently located. Hoping to stay again while our son is at OSU. Still drinking our morning coffee out of the purchased coffee mugs from the pottery studio:)

From the time we arrived to our checkout the place was amazing. We reserved for a wedding preparation area and it was perfect and picturesque. They even let us park our trailer there. At one point I realized we had so many girls stopping in from the wedding party to get ready that we were blocking their driveway ( lord knows for how long) and never did we hear them ask us to move( which we gladly would have) I highly recommend this house and property. They helped me create a wedding memory for my daughter to forever hold on to.

A fully equipped and beautifully curated farmhouse for the whole family. Dale and Peggy offered a beautiful retreat style opportunity for a last minute family gathering. It was a dream to enjoy such a stunning property with all the features of home. Our dogs were equally in love and enjoyed ever second of our family trip.

The hosts, Dale and Peggy, are extremely nice and accommodating. I messaged them a few times over the planning month's of our stay, working through details that came up. They were very responsive as well as accommodating to each of our requests. They were wonderful to work with!

Our host was great. Even called us to let us know that the property was ready early.

We love staying here! So cozy and relaxing, and the host, Dale , is a wonderful man! And I love his pottery that’s for sale we’ve stayed here twice and will come again if we can!

Wonderful Cozy House! Host were great throughout the stay.

The farmhouse was charming and cozy, made moreso by the converted wood-burning (now gas) stove. The premises and surrounding acreage were quiet and inviting . . . . a country feeling not far from downtown Corvallis. We liked the quilts and other artwork on display in the home, and even bought 2 beautiful little demitasse mugs from Dale, the owner, whose studio is on the property near the house. Dale grew up in the farmhouse, has lots of info and stories, and is fun to talk to. The second bathroom, located in the utility room off the kitchen, is very tiny and proved a little challenging for our friends, but other than that we had a very enjoyable stay in this period home.

The house was perfect for our needs. All 5 of us had our own room and plenty of space to gather. The tree farm was beautiful and we enjoyed seeing and purchasing some of the beautiful pottery.

Had a wonderful visit, so conveniently located near OSU, just a short drive.

Funky house, but worked out well for our group of 6 adults and 1 senior dog who were in town for the Cal @ OSU game. Dale was a great host.

We had a wonderful stay at the farmhouse. We had everything we needed to spend time with our family. We ate dinner on the patio and took many walks through the Christmas trees. Very comfortable and cozy.

Dale and Peggy are wonderful hosts. Our son was getting married and I was preparing the flowers and decor, and they were very accommodating. The home is absolutely charming, and we had a great time wandering through Dale’s pottery shop. The back patio was probably our favorite place. Sitting under those beautiful Oregon white oaks and playing games, the family who traveled with had a chance to enjoy each other’s company and play games well into the evening. We are already looking for an excuse to come back.

The place was great to stay at!! Plenty of space and very relaxing. The host was great!! Communicated to us very well aboit the property and all off all the ammentaties. Diffinately a recommend and lookong forward to hopefully staying next year!!

Our family of 3 thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Plenty of room, very comfortable beds, and a nice kitchen to cook and dine in. Lovely gas fireplace and view of Christmas trees! Easy drive to local hikes, vineyards, and downtown Corvallis. Thank you Dale for your friendliness and cute cottage!

Great old fashioned farmhouse in a peaceful quiet spot. We particularly enjoyed meeting with the owner and touring his ceramics studio.

We enjoyed a cozy stay at the Christmas Tree farm with optimal proximity to OSU for a visit for our prospective college student. Well setup for a family getaway for a few days.

We have stayed at the Donovan house 3 years running. Dale has been great and the house is not too far from campus.

Dale, the host, was very welcoming and easy to contact. The place was quiet and rejuvenating. I highly recommend it!

What a quiet and relaxing weekend! Mr Donovan and his property are just truly amazing! We had a lovely stay in this rustic place. Everything was comfortable and we had everything we needed to cook simple meals and just hang out. We enjoyed walking the property and surrounding neighborhood, and I really loved Looking at his pottery shop and talking with Mr. Donovan. We got a kick out of him riding his giant 3 wheeled bike with his dogs! What a friendly, wonderful man! FYI, there’s no streaming service, just basic direct tv, but that was ok with us. We played board games, cooked, baked and enjoyed what we could find on tv. The simple quiet life was good , away from the hustle and bustle. 3 minutes away from our daughter at OSU, and she stayed with us anyway. We’ve already booked our next visit .

Bought one of Dale's gorgeous pottery pieces on site. The farmhouse has 4 bedrooms, plenty for a larger group, even though it was only 2 of us this time. Convenient to OSU visit. Super private, very comfortable!

We love old homes with character and this home is full of character…in a good way! The artwork, the Christmas tree farm, comfy beds- all of it made for a very nice stay.

Visited our kid who is attending OSU but lives in Philomath. Easy access to both places. Great house with lots of beds and a nice living room to sit. Enjoyed talking with Dale in his pottery studio along with walking among the Chriatmas trees.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The property is quiet and although close to town it has a very rural feel. The farmhouse is clean and comfortable and decorated with interesting artwork - much of it made by our host Dale. His pottery studio is on site so that was an added bonus. We brought home a beautiful blue bowl made by Dale and it now sits on the center island in our kitchen. We will definitely stay here again when visiting Corvallis.

The Donovan’s farm house was perfect for our stay. It was everything as described and much more. Dale was wonderful to work with and very accommodating. The location was great. We even bought some of Dale’s beautiful pottery. I highly recommend this charming farmhouse, especially if you have a large group.

A comfortable cottage in a great area of Corvallis. It feels like the county, yet it is near all necessities. Dale is extremely friendly and easy to communicate with.

We had never been to Oregon before but how beautiful it is! I like the personal check in as Dale met us at the house shortly after our arrival. You can absolutely feel that this is not just a rental to him but a piece of his family legacy and the cleanliness and attention to detail reflect that. There were 6 of us - 2 adult couples and 2 adult children - and the accommodations fit us just fine. Suggest people visit downtown Corvalis. Dale suggested the Farmers Market and it did not disappoint.

We had booked this home for a reunion in Corvallis. At the last minute, my daughter was admitted to the Children’s Hospital and we had to cancel with only 24 hours notice. We did not expect a refund, but the hosts very graciously gave us one anyway. There are kind people in this world!

The charming home was well equipped, nestled in a Christmas tree farm. Our favorite was enjoying coffee in the beautiful gardens, talking with the wonderful host and enjoying his incredible pottery and art. A must stay again place.

Dale greeted us upon our arrival and made sure we were well situated. The farmhouse was quaint and quiet, and the neighborhood was a pleasure for a morning or evening stroll. We stayed in two of the four bedrooms, and both were comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped for meal preparation. The large trees on the property were occupied by Acorn Woodpeckers; as birders, we enjoyed watching their antics. We look forward to returning some day!
